CELEBRATING THE HEARTS BEHIND THE CARE - We love you Nathine and Anisha.

Today we want to recognize and celebrate 2 of our incredible staff members who understand that caring for our residents is about so much more than meeting everyday needs. It is about love, kindness, compassion, dignity, laughter, friendship, and truly knowing the person you serve.

We are especially grateful for all our staff who take the extra time to make life meaningful and fun—who listen to our residents, learn what brings them joy, honor their choices, and help make those wishes possible.

Whether it’s sharing a laugh in the kitchen, enjoying a favorite activity, going somewhere special, celebrating an accomplishment, or simply spending quality time together, these moments matter. ❤️

Thanks to you Nathine and Anisha, who treat our residents like family and continually ask, “What would make today a great day for you?”

You help ensure that the people entrusted to our care are not simply cared for—they are valued, respected, included, encouraged, and empowered to live their very best lives according to their own wishes.

An exciting day for Aldersgate Special Needs Ministry as everyone came together to celebrate the dedication of Jeannie's House. This is our 8th house.
Please pray for us, as we continue making a difference in the lives of adults with disabilities, providing not only a beautiful home but opportunities, dignity, purpose and support.
We will continue working hard to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individual with special needs in SC.

We hosted our 2026 Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 14th. The Aldersgate Special Need Ministry Annual Meeting is a time for residents, families, staff, managers, board members, and avid supporters to come together in celebration of the ministry!

Current Board of Trustees Chair, Mike Simpson, and Executive Director, Kim Thomas, provided commentary regarding historical and recent accomplishments, as well as projected happenings on the horizon for Aldersgate. They also announced the changes to the Board of Trustees and Officers for the upcoming fiscal year, including special recognition for those Board members who will no longer be serving.

Many of our residents participated in a showcase, where they entertained the group with some of their exceptional talents such as singing, dancing, joke telling, and talking about the activities and adventures they participate in through the ministry. The meeting was concluded by showing a video that was recently made that highlights each of the residents and their lives within their homes at Aldersgate.

What a blessing it is to serve these individuals, to have dedicated and caring staff, and to have significant participation from board members, families, and supporters! We are looking forward to what this next year will bring and to continuing the mission of the ministry!
