We hosted our 2026 Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 14th. The Aldersgate Special Need Ministry Annual Meeting is a time for residents, families, staff, managers, board members, and avid supporters to come together in celebration of the ministry!

Current Board of Trustees Chair, Mike Simpson, and Executive Director, Kim Thomas, provided commentary regarding historical and recent accomplishments, as well as projected happenings on the horizon for Aldersgate. They also announced the changes to the Board of Trustees and Officers for the upcoming fiscal year, including special recognition for those Board members who will no longer be serving.

Many of our residents participated in a showcase, where they entertained the group with some of their exceptional talents such as singing, dancing, joke telling, and talking about the activities and adventures they participate in through the ministry. The meeting was concluded by showing a video that was recently made that highlights each of the residents and their lives within their homes at Aldersgate.

What a blessing it is to serve these individuals, to have dedicated and caring staff, and to have significant participation from board members, families, and supporters! We are looking forward to what this next year will bring and to continuing the mission of the ministry!

Hockey, cheering, and a whole lot of dancing 😁🤩 — our Rick’s House and Sunshine House residents had the BEST time at the Commissioner’s Cup playoff game! Even though the Ice Cats came up short, our crew ended the night celebrating like champions.💪 💙💚

It was a big weekend for our Aldersgate family!

The guys at the Oaks House enjoyed a fun day trip to the mall, and our crew at Tommy's House had a blast at Pork in the Park in Newberry. Two houses, two adventures, and so many smiles.

Last week we celebrated the hard work and efforts of our staff of direct support professionals with DSP Appreciation Spirit Week! These individuals are a huge part of our ministry and fill an important role in the life our residents. We are grateful to each of them for their dedication and commitment!!

During DSP Appreciation Spirit Week, each day had a unique theme, and all staff were encouraged to participate. A few residents joined in on the fun as well! We voted on "best dressed" for each day and they are being rewarded with a special treat! Thanks to all that participated!
