Empowering Alabama's LGBTQ youth, our nonprofit commits to fostering mental health resilience. Through compassionate support, education, and advocacy, we strive to create a safe haven that champions acceptance and understanding. Our mission is to

cultivate a thriving community where every young person feels seen, valued, and empowered to navigate life's challenges with confidence and pride. Together, we're building a future where mental well-being is a right, not a privilege, for all LGBTQ youth in Northwest Alabama. We offer services, resources, and support for the Transgender community and those at risk for HIV. Our core values are diversity, equity, and inclusion for all races, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and disability. We have developed and enforced internal policies that address discrimination, harassment, and bias. Our board of directors creates a safe and respectful environment for all members of the organization.

Pride was never meant to be confined to a single month on the calendar. It’s found in every act of kindness, every voice raised for equality, every safe space created, and every person who chooses love over fear.

To everyone who attended an event like Shoals PrideFest & TWES Present: The PrideLands, volunteered, donated, performed, sponsored, shared our posts, or simply stood with us—thank you. Because of you, the Shoals is becoming a place where more people can live openly, authentically, and with hope.
