With another year coming to an end, i want to thank everyone who made this year possible! From volunteers, donors, prayer warriors, etc I can’t thank you enough for the vital role you have played.
When Holos Hope was formed, I had no idea what I was doing, other than following a call and passion God placed on my heart. I knew that it would all be worth it for one life to be changed-for one life to be offered hope and healing. Holos Hope has been able to serve 22 women since our doors opened. There were times we watched women go back to the life they desperately wanted out of and it broke our hearts. We also watched women go to school, reunite with their children, and obtain a job. We saw their life transform in ways we never could have imagined!
As many of you know, it costs around $40,000 per woman per year to operate at full capacity. We never had that. Month to month we watched God provide in ways we didn’t know how He would. This year was our toughest yet. Due to a major lack of funding, we no longer can sustain to the capacity needed. We have made the decision to close our doors as of December 31.
This decision was not made lightly or without a lot of prayer. We had dreams and plans and may never understand why it ended this way, but we know that we did what we were called to do.
All of our current residents have been transferred to another program or will graduate our program. All donations will be given to other local non profits to be used by those in need.
Again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support! Last but not least, I want to thank my staff. They have worked so hard when I had to step back this year on maternity leave. They showed up everyday with a fiery passion to help these women and fulfill the mission and they did it well.
What an honor it has been to follow Gods call to serve these women. While Holos Hope may be closing, there are still millions of women, children, and men who need us to keep fighting for them.
