Whether you work directly with individuals in crisis, provide community services, support families, or simply want to be better prepared to help when our community needs it, you are welcome to attend.

Seating is limited, so please RSVP early to reserve your spot. We ask that you RSVP by October 4th so we can plan appropriately and have an accurate headcount for lunch.

💜 WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY FOR OUR COMMUNITY! 💜

Yesterday, Western Lane Crisis Response and Western Lane Crisis Association hosted our FIRST ANNUAL Su***de Prevention Walk & Health Expo in beautiful Florence, Oregon! ☀️💜

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day, a more supportive community, or a more meaningful way to come together. Our hearts are full of gratitude for everyone who helped make this first event such an incredible success!

🚒 First, a HUGE thank you to our Western Lane Crisis Response team, Western Lane Crisis Response Western Lane Crisis Association, Western Lane Fire and EMS Authority, Velvet Moon Events, Florence Elks! Your dedication, hard work, helped turn an idea into something truly special. This was the first of what we hope will be many successful annual events!

💜 To our sponsors, donors, volunteers, resource providers, community partners, and everyone who helped behind the scenes: THANK YOU! Your generosity, time, energy, and heart made this day possible. From planning and fundraising to setting up tables, decorating, sharing resources, and cleaning up afterward, every contribution mattered.

💜 And to every single person who came out and walked with us, thank you.

Whether you walked in memory of someone you love, in support of someone who is struggling, as a survivor, or simply to remind others that they never have to walk alone, your presence meant more than words can express.

Events like this don’t happen in a single day. They are built through countless hours of planning, donations, conversations, outreach, and people choosing to show up for one another.

Yesterday, we did more than walk.

We walked together. We remembered together. We honored those we’ve lost. We supported those who are struggling. We made space for grief, hope, connection, and healing.

Most importantly, we reminded one another that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. 💜

We are so grateful to live in a community that shows up with so much love and compassion. Thank you, Florence, for making our first annual Su***de Prevention Walk & Health Expo a day we will never forget!

UPDATE - SATURDAY, SEPT 26 at 5:30 pm: Ms. Morrow has been located and is now safe. Thank you to the community members who shared the information and assisted.

ATTEMPT TO LOCATE MISSING PERSON: The Florence Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance is locating a missing person. On September 22, 2026, Florence Police entered 81 year old Celia Morrow of Elmira, OR as a missing person in state and national databases. Morrow was last seen by friends on 09/20/2026 at approximately 7:30PM in the Florence area. FPD had subsequent contact with Morrow later that evening as she was leaving Three Rivers Casino in Florence and she declined any assistance.

Morrow’s vehicle is a red 2016 Mazda SUV Oregon Plate 025HWZ and is pictured below along with her photo. This vehicle was last seen by FPD Flock camera westbound on Hwy 126 at Spruce St. at 11:27PM on 09/20/2026. No further Flock reads on this plate have occurred since that time. Morrow has a history of going missing under similar circumstances, possibly compounded by onset of dementia. This is an active and ongoing investigation. If anyone has knowledge of Morrow’s whereabouts or sees her or the pictured vehicle, please contact Florence PD at (541)997-3515. Reference FPD Case # F202608516.

📢 CRISIS RESPONDER WEEK! 🇺🇸
Thank you Mayor Ward and City of Florence, Oregon for your Proclamation that September 13 - 19th is Crisis Responder Week.

Crisis response teams throughout the US are also being recognized this week for the important work they do in their communities.

We’re incredibly proud of the work our team does here in Western Lane County—showing up when people are experiencing some of their most difficult moments, supporting our community, and helping connect people with the resources they need.

We are proud to serve Western Lane County, and even prouder to be part of this community. 💙
