We have 29 dedicated members who provide the citizens of Florala and Southeastern Covington County with fire suppression, vehicle extrication, gas spills/leaks, landing zones, roadway obstructions, and other fire or EMS related emergencies. Our fire district is approximately 81 square miles and mainly rural area. We currently run 2 class A engines: Engine 30-1998 Pierce with a 1000 gallon poly tan
k and a 1250 GPM Hale pump and numerous firefighting equipment and Engine 33-2001 Ferrara 1000 gallon poly tank, a 1250 GPM Waterous pump, and numerous firefighting equipment as well as Hurst/Lukas extrication equipment; a brush truck: Brush 34-1999 Chevrolet 3500 four door with a skid unit and wildland firefighting equipment. We have a 2017 Ford Explorer that is our Command Unit that is equipped with medical supplies to assist with ems needs. 2023 Recuse boat equipped with rescue lights and a front rack attached to help with water rescues, we are honored to have it from the help of Firehouse Subs grant. We average 200-300 calls for service per year. Our current ISO (Insurance Services Office) score is a 4/4X. Chief Anthony Jones
