Carver Community Center of Florala Carver Community Center is dedicated to serve the community of Florala, AL with special emphasis on our youth. After school desegregation, Carver Jr.

High Shool was transformed into Carver Community Center. Carver Community Center of Florala serves the citizens of both Florala and Lockhart Alabama. The Center provides activities for the youth as well the elderly. By way of background, Carver Community Center is on the site of Florala City School (for Negro Children) later rebuilt and named Carver Jr. High School and served the African American

school age population during the racial segregation years. After the schools were racially integrated in the 60’s, Carver Jr. High School eventually became a Community Center. Carver Community Center of Florala has a 501c3 nonprofit status.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth yesterday. Our Youth are raising money to take a trip this summer so please come see us next time. We had a great time and the band was 🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!!

Thank you to the Small Town Summer Jam Committee for allowing us to be there. It was great and we are looking forward to the next one. It was very well organized. Your directions and hospitality were great!
