The City of Flora formed the Tourism Committee in order to promote Flora and areas of interest throughout Clay County. With this in mind, the Flora Tourism Committee hopes to energize interest in our historical sites, events and specialty attractions that are available. The Tourism Committee is encouraging input from area organizations, restaurants, lodging, specialty stores, and community clubs to let the public know why everyone should “Visit Flora, IL”!

Ford Town Funfest is coming to Flora on September 19, 2026, and Flora Tourism is looking for vendors to join us for a full day of fun! 🎉

📅 Saturday, September 19th
⏰ Vendor Hours: 8 AM – 1 PM
📍 Flora, IL
💰 $20 per vendor spot — and your $20 will be returned to you if you stay for the entire event!
All fees To be paid via cash or check - Dropped off before the event at the Flora Chamber of Commerce
If you pay with check please make it out to Flora Tourism

✨ All vendor types are welcome! Whether you sell food, crafts, products, services, or something unique, we’d love to have you!

🌶️ WHO HAS THE BEST CHILI IN CLAY COUNTY?! 🌶️

The Ford Town Fun Fest Annual Chili Cook-Off is back Saturday, September 19th, and we’re looking for individuals, businesses, organizations, churches, clubs—or anyone else who thinks their chili has what it takes to win!

IT’S FREE TO ENTER!

🏆 Past Champions:
2024 – Toby Rinehart, City of Flora
2025 – Stacey Earleywine, Nostalgia Theatre
2026 – ???

The winner will have their name added to our traveling Chili Cook-Off plaque, which is proudly displayed at Flora City Hall. So the question is… who gets their name on it next?

🔥 THE RULES:
• Cook on site using whatever heat source/method you prefer. Electricity will be available but may be limited depending on the number of entries.
• Ingredients may be prepped or pre-cooked beforehand, but the chili must be prepared/combined on site.
• You provide all ingredients—and bring enough for the crowd to sample!
• You provide your own setup, including tables, chairs and canopy. Plan for a 10’ x 10’ space.
• The Flora Tourism Committee will provide the sample bowls/cups and spoons.
• The winner will be determined by the people tasting the chili and will receive a $100 gift card, along with bragging rights for the next year!

Most importantly, this is supposed to be FUN. Come cook some chili, talk a little smack, represent your business or organization, and see if you can take home the title! 🌶️🏆

Any person or organization is welcome to enter.

🎉 FORD TOWN FUN FEST VENDOR REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! 🎉

Calling all vendors, crafters, makers, food vendors, small businesses, and organizations! 🛍️🌭✨

Vendor registration is officially OPEN for Ford Town Fun Fest, and we want YOU to be part of the fun!

Vendor fee is $20 - This money will be returned to you if you set up for the entire event.
