First Chapter Meeting ✅

We had 39 members in attendance for the first chapter meeting of the year today! They were fed Julian’s burgers & updated on all things Flora FFA.

We kicked off a fundraiser today, so be sure to ask your kids about those packets. There are ways to earn a free FFA jacket in the fundraiser!

COMMUNITY MEMBERS & BUSINESS OWNERS 📣

We’re looking for local industry professionals who would be interested in speaking with our Ag students about career opportunities, life skills, and the different pathways available right here in our community!

In the past, we’ve had speakers cover a wide variety of topics including ag pilots, seed sales, HVAC, USDA agencies, surveying, and more.

Your presentation does not have to be directly agriculture-related! Our students have also expressed interest in learning about things like preparing to purchase a home, investing, insurance, personal finance, and other real-world topics that will help prepare them for life after high school.

If you have a career, business, or area of expertise that you’d be willing to share with our students, we’d love to have you!

It’s been such a busy week that I haven’t had much time to snap photos!

These kids have been working incredibly hard. Many of them are also active in 4-H, spending their days showing livestock and then turning around to volunteer their evenings back to our chapter.

Several of them even popped in and out between the 4-H auction tonight just to help, and a handful have been here working every single night this week.

We’re so proud of these kids and the dedication and work ethic they continue to show!

🎡 CLAY COUNTY FAIR IS HERE! 🎡

The Flora FFA stand is back, and we’ve added a few new menu items this year! Plus, you already know where to find the best fresh-squeezed shake-ups at the fair. 🍋💚

Every purchase from the Flora FFA stand directly supports our students by helping fund classroom resources, leadership opportunities, competitions, and hands-on experiences that make a lasting impact.

Stop by, grab a bite (and a shake-up!), and support the next generation of agriculture leaders. We can’t wait to see you at the fair!

Flora FFA Members‼️

We are looking for help at our concession stand during the rodeo Friday night. Please sign up on the FFA classroom!

Also - we will be posting a sign up for next weeks evening shifts at the fairgrounds tonight as well on classroom. Please look for those this evening & sign up.

This is a major fundraiser for our chapter, and counts for community service for you!

If there are any incoming freshman that would like to jump in & help, send us a message. We would love to have you also, it just won’t count as community service yet until your first official day of school (but you will still earn FFA points)!

Yesterday the Advisors & Officer team met for our leadership/planning retreat. We planned out activities for the entire fall semester and the officers presented some GREAT ideas!

We finished up with a little bouquet making. Mrs. Troyer brought in fresh flowers from her farm & the officer all took home a bouquet!

FFA Members: We will be sending out fair week sign ups here very soon if you’d like to help out in the shake-up trailer.
