NAKC is a non-profit AKC club organization of dog owners, breeders, and exhibitors, devoted to the advancement and welfare of purebred dogs and the sport of dogs. was founded in June 1990, by founding members, Sherry Gibbany, Pat Falvey (Looper), Betty Bezek, and Dr Tammy Jones, DVM. NAKC is concerned with good breeding practices, proper care of dogs and maintenance of purebred dogs. NAKC promotes educational programs through schools, training classes, shows and other club activities. NAKC members actively show their dogs in conformation, obedience, field trials, agility, and other AKC events. Our Mission:
To further the advancement of purebred dogs. To do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of all breeds of purebred dogs and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at dogs shows and obedience trails. To conduct sanctioned matches, dogs shows and obedience trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
