The Annual Juneteenth Celebration is upon us! 🖤❤️💚

Join us this Saturday, June 20, on the Flint Cultural Center campus for our fifth year celebrating Blackness throughout our community! The event begins at 11 a.m. with vendors and artisans to shop from, bouce houses and entertainment for kids to enjoy, food trucks, live entertainment by Mama Sōl & more! The traditional Freedom March begins at noon and will proceed down Kearsley St. from Crapo St., led by Hamady High School Marching Band. The entire FCC campus will be taking part in the event, including an official "Made By Us" Civic Season Wish Wall at Applewood Estate, arts and crafts under the FIA tent, and free face painting, book giveaways and balloon activities will be taking place down the street at the Flint Public Library. All institutions will be open to the public during the event.

Fantasy Fiction lovers.....have we got the book fair for you! 💜⚔📖

Another 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒏-𝑼𝒑 𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒓 is happening this summer, only with a fantasy flair! This book fair is for all the fantasy, romantasy, dark academia, and myth enthusiasts, and of course it pairs well with dragons! Browse unique vendors and authors, enjoy themed drinks and treats, and grab a bite from local food trucks. Your ticket includes entry to our newest interactive exhibit, 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝑫𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒔. Join us tomorrow (6/13) at 10 a.m. for a special, patriotic LEGO®club ahead of America's 250th celebration! LEGO® clubbers are invited to build their favorite U.S. landmark, U.S. flag, or a red, white and blue creation of their choice. Builds will be featured in our lobby display case in all of their patriotic glory ❤🤍💙 LEGO®club is FREE, included with museum general admission.

Have you registered your vehicle for Sloan Museum Auto Fair?! 🏎

You still have time to register online and save $5! The 54th Annual Sloan Museum Auto Fair will once again take place at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad in celebration of their 50th Anniversary! Pre-registration fees are $15 to show your vehicle and $20 to have it judged, when you register online by June 22. The registration fee is good for both days of the show. Join us for this laid-back, special auto show! Sloan Museum Auto Fair is happening June 27 & 28 until 5 p.m., we hope to see you there!

The America 250 special exhibit 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒆 is now completed and on display in the North wing of the museum! This temporary exhibit is a timeline of major moments throughout history - in Flint and throughout the United States. It features rarely seen artifacts from our collection and acknowledges the historical events that helped shape our community. Celebrate America 250 and the storied past that got us to this moment, plus, don't forget to pick up your America 250 passbook! Find out more at SloanLongway.org/America250.

Life-sized dragon encounters, interactive stations, dragon fossil dig & more await at Sloan Museum of Discovery! FREE days and times are as follows:

Friday, June 5: Admission is FREE from 5-8 p.m. (last admission will be at 7 p.m.)
Saturday, June 6: Admission will be FREE from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (last admission will be at 5 p.m.)
