One week into our bi-annual seasonal change-over and we've packed up the summer items moved them off site and have started moving the fall and winter inventory back into the center. It takes many hands, vehicles, and tons of hangers to get this done. We are grateful for our staff of volunteers and for those groups who step up during this time. Their work enables us to be assured when the chill in the air returns we will be ready!

Diaper Only appointments are still available through September and October Appointments will open September 19th.



Una semana en nuestro cambio bianual de temporada y hemos empacado los artículos de verano, los hemos trasladado fuera del sitio y hemos comenzado a mover el inventario de otoño e invierno de vuelta al centro. Se necesitan muchas manos, vehículos y toneladas de perchas para hacer esto. Estamos agradecidos por nuestro personal de voluntarios y por aquellos grupos que dan un paso adelante durante este tiempo. ¡Su trabajo nos permite estar seguros de que cuando vuelva el frío en el aire estaremos listos!

Las citas de solo pañales todavía están disponibles hasta septiembre y octubre. Las citas se abrirán el 19 de septiembre.

September appointments have opened (week one & two). Remember September is DIAPERS ONLY as we are switching out summer items for fall items.

Se han abierto las citas de septiembre (semanas uno y dos). Recuerde que septiembre es SOLO PAÑALES, ya que estamos cambiando artículos de verano por artículos de otoño.

It's time....for "SOCKtember"! NEW underwear and socks are two of the top requests for the children of the families we serve and we need your help to ensure all those little piggies are warm and dry this fall/winter.....AND it is sooo easy to help.

1. Have a sock/undies drive at your work place, community group, classroom or church, etc. Collect the packages of NEW children's socks and underwear throughout the month of September (you can also do October as well!) and drop them off at our center (or call us if you need us to come and get them).

2. Order from your favorite online store and have them delivered directly to us at 3511 Hammerberg, Flint MI 48507. (deliveries for TUES/WEDS/THURSDAYS only please)

We need packages of:
*New kids socks in sizes Newborn through Shoe size 4Youth.
*Socks are for the cold weather so skip the "No-Show" socks if possible.
*New underwear in sizes 2T- 14/16 kids

3. Not in the mood to shop at all? Send us the funds and we will do the shopping. See info on how to donate funds in the comments below.⬇

As of today 8 new communities in Genesee County have been added along side of the City of Flint to the RXKids eligibility!
If you live in these communities, you can apply when you are at least 16 weeks pregnant, and for all babies born after August 1, 2026. For more information click on the link below. https://rxkids.org

Rx Kids is the first-ever community-wide cash prescription program for pregnant moms and babies. Rx Kids provides all pregnant moms in the City of Flint with no-strings-attached cash of $1,500 during pregnancy and $500 each month throughout a baby’s first year.

Late last month an early morning phone call brought an unexpected group of volunteers, a day filled with hard work around the center, new connections and new friends!

Thank you to the youth and the adults from Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church for being willing to do what ever it was we asked; weeding, mulching, building fences, unpacking boxes of diapers and wipes, sorting donations and hanging clothes...ALL the things! This is why we always say; .

Our staff is taking a well deserved break and the center is closed all of next week: This means there are no appointments and we will not be accepting donations while we are gone either.

Appointments are already filling up for the week we return (7/14 & 7/15). See July Calendar in the comments for more details.

Our staff wishes you a fun and safe holiday weekend and we will see you when we return.

All June appointments are booked and the first week of July opens this weekend. Be sure to look at the calendar below with all of the Holiday and Vacation dates you will need to know for next month. If you are unable to make your appointment please go on-line to reschedule or cancel. Every appointment time is precious and should not be wasted.
