Flint Intercollegiate Council (F.I.C) Uniting Flint's college community to enhance and promote student life in downtown Flint.

The mission of FIC is to open communication channels between the four institutions of higher education in Flint (UM-Flint, Kettering University, Mott Community College, and Baker College) and the community in order to share resources, sponsor events, and create a critical mass of students working together to promote and improve student life in downtown Flint.

In 1964, almost eight years after the then-Citizens Bank weather ball was first lit atop its downtown Flint headquarters, Bowles took it upon herself to put music to the classic weather ball poem and make it into a song.
