Genesee Wanderers Cycling Club has two version of our club jersey - our original design which is maroon, black and gold, and a hi-viz version. Shorts, bibs, arm-warmers and a light-weight jacket are also available in the original colors. The B-C group is shifting to the Fall start time of 5:30 pm beginning Tuesday, September 15th:

GWCC Lennon Ride
Start Time/End Time: 6:00 PM (5:30 start in Spring and Fall)
Expected Mileage: 30 miles (shorter routes available)
Expected Pace: B-C
Special Instructions GWCC Ride is No Drop or Regroup at Kirby Corners or ShiaTown Park
NOTE: An A-A+ group named Affable Hammers also meets to ride at the same location and time and is a drop ride.

For anyone planning to ride the Saginaw Valley Rail Trail between St. Charles and Saginaw, be aware of the following trail repairs in progress.

A Saginaw Valley Rail Trail renovation project will begin staging next week on Tuesday 9/8, with work planned from Lumberjack Park in St. Charles extending through Benkert Rd in Swan Creek Twp. Work will include bridge deck replacements and more than two miles asphalt replacement. Stroebel Rd Trailhead to VanWormer Trailhead will remain open for the duration of the project, but trail closures are anticipated into October from Swan Creek to Lumberjack Park as the crews move along. We'll do our best to update signage and timelines along the way, notifying of approximate closure timelines. Work areas and additional detail noted on the map. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Sorry to see an LBS close their doors. Rick Morris announced the closing of House of Wheels as of August 30, 2024 and tried unsuccessfully to find a successor to take over the shop. CASH ONLY -- ALL SALES FINAL

Summer is slipping away, but there are still plenty of riding opportunities as we head into Autumn. The TCBA (Tri-County Bicycle Association, Lansing, MI) DALMAC - Dick Allen Lansing to MACkinaw bike ride starts next week. Weekly club rides on pavement or gravel are still on-going, as well as rides with partner groups, such as the Cyclepaths, BGDB, Flying Rhinos and The Chesaning Bike Group.
