Today, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the continued pursuit of equality.

Juneteenth marks the day when the last enslaved African Americans in the United States learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of community, perseverance, and progress.

As an organization dedicated to strengthening neighborhoods and empowering residents, we recognize that building vibrant communities requires honoring our history while continuing the work of creating opportunities for future generations.

The Neighborhood Engagement Hub wishes you and your family a meaningful and reflective Juneteenth.

Please note that NEH will be closed today in observance of the holiday. We will resume normal operations on Monday.

NEH is building a Flint Neighborhood Organization Directory to help connect neighborhood associations, block clubs, crime watches, and community groups across the city.

Our goal is to make it easier for residents and organizations to:
• Find local neighborhood groups
• Share events and resources
• Build partnerships
• Strengthen communication across communities
• Highlight the amazing work already happening in Flint neighborhoods

We’re inviting neighborhood organizations to submit or update their information through this Form: https://airtable.com/app2IkIaX3Engf0ih/pagY5uHh9uaNHB9Bt/form

Organizations will be able to choose what information is shared publicly.

This project is intended to support community connection, collaboration, and neighborhood leadership throughout Flint.
