Today, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the continued pursuit of equality.
Juneteenth marks the day when the last enslaved African Americans in the United States learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of community, perseverance, and progress.
As an organization dedicated to strengthening neighborhoods and empowering residents, we recognize that building vibrant communities requires honoring our history while continuing the work of creating opportunities for future generations.
The Neighborhood Engagement Hub wishes you and your family a meaningful and reflective Juneteenth.
Please note that NEH will be closed today in observance of the holiday. We will resume normal operations on Monday.
