UAW Region 1-D is proud to announce that UAW Local 2031 has reached a tentative agreement at Autokiniton in Blissfield, Michigan.

These workers organized their union 13 months ago and stayed united through a long first-contract fight. Despite delays and challenges at the bargaining table, they never stopped standing together.

Their solidarity from the shop floor to the bargaining table made the difference.

Congratulations to the members and bargaining committee of UAW Local 2031.

When workers stand together, workers win.

A huge thank-you to TK Kitchen in Middleville for supporting our striking brothers and sisters of UAW Local 1002!

Day 3 of our MI CAP Conference opened with an ask for support and show of solidarity to LU1002 Bradford White Corp who went on strike at midnight. After a recap of yesterday's commitments, Kate Mason, Executive Director of MI Labor Foundation, was our 1st speaker covering election protection and democracy defense. She was followed by UAW President, Shawn Fain, reminding us the importance of STRONG elected officials and he welcomed Jocelyn Benson, MI Secretary of State, and UAW endorsed candidate for Governor. The day finished with announcement of 2027 Award categories (see picture) and door knocking tips and action.

At midnight, UAW Region 1-D Director Steve Dawes and Assistant Director Scott Zuckschwerdt stood shoulder to shoulder with the UAW Local 1002 Bargaining Committee as Bradford White members in Middleville walked out on strike.

This strike could have been avoided if the employer had recognized the hard work, value, and sacrifices of our members and bargained a fair agreement.

Local 1002 stands united, and all of Region 1-D stands firmly with them.
