Our previous horse provider is going through some health challenges, but we were able to pivot and Eddieon King was able to make himself available to provide free horse rides for kids (or adults!) at Mott Fest! He will be there from 2-5pm, June 13, Mott Park.

We have an announcement!🚨

For everybody who has been asking….. WE FINALLY HAVE TAMALES FOR YOU!! We made a small batch of RED PORK TAMALES and they will be ready for purchase at our food truck tomorrow! They will be available in packs of 3, either in their traditional form (with husk on) or dressed with queso, pico, sour cream and cotija cheese😋

That’s not it….. this Saturday (6/6) we will be bringing back our Horchata Specialty Drinks!! Make sure you check our calendar for our locations and times of operation. We can’t wait to see you guys!!

We're excited to welcome back Meet Up and Eat Up with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, providing free summer lunches for kids and teens 18 and under! 🥪☀️

Beginning June 22, kids and teens can receive a free lunch Monday through Friday at the following City of Flint Park locations:
- Sarvis Park 11:15-11:35am
- Max Brandon Park 11:40am-12:00pm
- Windiate Park 12:35-12:55pm
- Whaley Park 1:00-1:20pm
- Mott Park 2:00-2:20pm
- Sarginson Park 2:25-2:55pm
- Polk Park 2:30-2:50pm
- River Park Apartments Greenspace 2:45-3:05pm Tu/Th
(Apartment Programing (M,W,F): Breakfast-10AM-12PM Lunch- 3-4:45PM)

|| Game Night & Wilderness Survival - June 2, 7-9 p.m. ||
From wilderness survival and disc golf to archery and fishing — there’s something for everyone. Come explore, play and discover with us at Mott Park!

|| Rec Wednesday! - June 3, 4–5 p.m. ||
This week’s adventure: learning all about how to filter water, build fires and the ten essentials of survival at Mott Park!

|| Nature Storytime - June 5, 11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m. ||
Visit the Chevy Commons and sprout a love of reading and nature during Nature Storytime. We will share books, songs, games and make a craft. Register by emailing [email protected].

|| Birding Hike - June 6, 10-11:30 a.m. ||
This week we are going to be guided on a birding hike through different habitats and learn all about our feathered friends. Suggested for ages 12 and up. Adults must accompany children. Meet at Mott Park!

Looking for ways to keep your kids active and entertained this summer? Sign your kid up for a Summer Running Club (SRC) and the Marti Austin Kids’ Classic Race on August 15!

This developmental program for kids aged 3-14 is all about fun, self confidence, and fitness. Our goal is to have the children learn through planned play, run-focused games, and other fun experiences. And a lot of the clubs train for the Marti Austin Kids’ Classic Race on Saturday, August 15. Families have 3 different options for registration:
- Summer Running Club only
- Marti Austin Kids’ Classic Race only
- Or, register for both the running club and race!
