MPEP Outreach Programs Helping 24/7 chained dogs of Michigan by providing food, straw and proper shelter while working to get dogs moved indoors. TEXT ONLY 2487673280

We get as many as we can surrendered to our rescue, vetted and adopted into loving indoor homes. Michigan Pit Bull Education Project works all across Michigan. However, our dedicated outreach program, is in Flint Michigan. We are committed to helping 24/7 chained dogs in Flint. We will help provide vet care, spay/neuter, micro-chipping, dog houses, straw, food, collars, and tie outs. We offer educ

ation to help them bring the dog inside. Since the outreach program was implemented in 2016, we have taken in over 500 dogs from the backyards of Flint. We rehabilitated, vetted and placed them up for adoption in warm loving homes. If you need our assistance with your dog or see an animal that needs our help PLEASE CONTACT US. Jonna 248-767-3280

Our blind boy Mayhem now named Hemi, had his ophthalmology appointment today 👀
The pressure in both eyes is very good and he’s in no pain. Nothing can be done for his condition. The notes from the clinic are included.
He’s still happy and doing great in his foster home ❤️
Thank you to his foster for taking him in!

This is where we are at.
A dog that was neglected and surrendered for help too late, had to be humanely euthanized to end his suffering. He had to be kept chilled until we were able to get him in for a necropsy to determine the cause of death.
We are working with animal control and the local detective to try and press charges.
Seeking justice isn’t always an option when we don’t have proof in vet reports or a body.
I’m doing my part.
This dog’s life mattered, it still matters.
Every single one of the dogs abused and neglected matter.
Run free sweet Aries. I’ll continue to show up for so many others like you.

Two lives we tried to save yesterday.
Two sweet babies that didn’t make it.
Two that were surrounded by love as their suffering was ended.
Two other dogs were not as lucky this week.
Two dogs suffered and died without us knowing.
Two dogs that had their bodies disposed of by their owners.
We can’t try to help if we don’t know.
If people don’t contact us.
It was a hard day yesterday.
The only peace we have is that these two felt love.

This is not the post we wanted to be making. For the second time today an animal we rushed to the emergency vet had to be euthanized.
Poor Duck, the cat we posted earlier looking for rescue was taken to Oakland County Referral Services today. He tested positive for FIV- Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (feline aids), FeLV- Feline Leukemia Virus a secondary infection that was causing him to struggle to breathe, also had possible tumors in his abdomen. His platelets were so low, clotting problems and a whole list of other things. Treatment would have been long and hard with no guarantee. Also there is no treatment or cure for feline aids, or leukemia. The decision to humanely euthanize was made. It was the kindest decision. This older boy was suffering at this point. We hate the fact we weren’t able to save him but are happy that he didn’t crawl under a porch and die alone. He was loved and comforted by Wendy. She picked him up from us in Flint, waited at the vet with him and held him in his last moment. We will be taking him to Pet Passages to be cremated. It’s not easy being an outdoor cat. It’s a hard life. You can rest easy now Duck. Your life matters and you are loved 🌈🐾
Slammed with another vet bill today, any amount helps ❤️

Thank you to my husband for dropping everything to be with Aries in his final moment. Making sure he knows he is loved, giving him hugs and kisses while we worked on helping the next dog/cat.
Aries suffered outside for who knows how long before we found him today. Pale gums, struggling to breath. We put him in the truck and he started coughing, spitting up blood and bleeding from his nose. We rushed him to Animal Emergency Hospital. The employee sprinted inside with him. His vitals were bad they ran tests and everything came back terrible. He started coughing up so much blood, bleeding internally and at that point was suffering.
We made the choice to humanely euthanize.
We will be trying to press charges for the owner leaving him outside like this.
We could use some help with the vet bill.
Today was not a good day for us dog girls. The only comfort we have is that he did not die in a backyard alone. He made it to the vet and was surrounded by love in his last moments.
Aries we are so sorry your life never had the happiness you deserved. We are sorry your owner forced you to live tied up outside 24/7. We will keep fighting for dogs like you. Your life matters 🌈💔🐾

Puss oozing from nose, smells like infection.
This cat needs help in Flint, MI.
Are there any cat rescues that can take him in? Working on trying to get him to emergency vet. We will cover that bill but we do not have one single cat foster. We are a dog rescue.
Please if your rescue can help message Jonna Moyski

12 bales of straw picked up for tomorrow’s outreach run and some treats for Sabrina. Most owners don’t want us giving their dog straw now that it’s warmer. We do like to make sure they at least have enough so they aren’t laying on the bare bottom of their dog house.
The employees here are the best 🖤
