Greetings all, this Saturday will be the inaugural session of The Flint Jazz Project youth jam session at noon at Xolo’s Tacos at 555 S. Saginaw St. We’re off to a rough start already. I've already gone through three piano players and the latest piano player that had committed to playing backed out yesterday to go camping with friends. So, if you know a piano player, please have them reach out to me or just show up. Either way, I hope you’re able to make it out. Everything will be targeted towards beginners so bring your instruments if you're up for playing or just bring your hands to support the people that do play. I'd love to have a good turnout and we'll build something bigger each time we get together.

It’s only taken a year to get it done, but the Flint Jazz Project finally has everything in place for the youth jazz jam session. Starting June 15th, Xolo tacos in downtown Flint will be hosting a weekly Saturday jam session, on their patio, from noon till 2 PM, or later if it’s really grooving. The patio will be staffed for food and beverage service. Feel free to check out their menu at
