Found some more CS Mott info in a totally unrelated book.

Apparently, women invited to Applewood had difficulty keeping CS’s hands off their panties.

Great guy! Name a building/charity/college after him.

(He was also accused of conspiracy to commit slavery when his company US Sugar sent recruiters to black cities and then indebted them for travel costs to the sugar fields. Proof is on my page in the pictures I posted).

Reading about how the du Pont family invested in slave labor, called black people “coons” and advocated for chemical companies to develop drugs to end sleep and increase worker productivity.

The du Ponts invested heavily into GM and Pierre S. du Pont also served as president of the corporation for some time.

There is a street in Flint named after this family.
