92 teens on a Thursday night!! 🤯🔥🚨

Man… the energy in the building was crazy. We played games, ate food, laughed together, gave out prizes, and heard a message of hope.

The best part though? Seeing students continue to invite their friends and bring new people with them week after week. 🔥

What God is doing through 181 is honestly wild to watch. This has always been more than just another program to us, it’s a safe space for students to come as they are, have real conversations, and be surrounded by people that care about them.

And the crazy part is… the video doesn’t even show everything that happened 🤯. We’re just thankful for every student that keeps showing up and bringing somebody with them 🔥

Had the chance to be at Southwestern today for senior exit presentations.

Seeing the growth, the confidence, and the effort these students put in… it’s real.

But this is what 181 is about. Creating a space where teens can feel safe, be themselves, and actually enjoy life without all the pressure, drama, and expectations they carry every day.
A place where they’re seen, valued, and part of something real.

This isn’t just about doing events… this is impact being made.

THREE TIMES! 🤯

181 Teen Movement has been awarded the Mott Foundation Youth Choice Grant AGAIN!

This is what happens when you give young people a voice and a real opportunity to lead. Our students are creating safe spaces, building community, and making an impact in Flint.

Grateful for the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation for investing in the next generation.

Last night might have looked quiet from the outside… but behind the scenes something really special was happening.

While it may have looked like we took a break this week, leaders and a few students gathered together with paint rollers, ladders, and a lot of energy to begin transforming a brand new space for 181.

What made the night special wasn’t just the paint on the walls.

It was watching students help build something that’s for them, a place where they can show up, be known, have real conversations, and discover who God created them to be.

This space still has a lot of work ahead of it, but standing in that room last night you could already feel the vision coming to life.

We’re incredibly excited about where God is taking 181. The story is still being written… and there’s always room for more people to be part of it. 🔥

Something special happened at 181 last week.

To celebrate 100 years, the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation launched the Youth Choice Awards, 100 grants of $1,926 placed directly into the hands of young people to create change in their own community.

And guess what?? 181 students were selected.

But here’s what made it even more special…

For the first time, Ridgway White personally came out and handed our students a giant check. That moment wasn’t about money. It was about belief. Belief that Flint teens aren’t problems to solve, they’re leaders to empower.

At 181, we talk about making a 180-degree life change. We talk about identity, purpose, leadership, faith, and ownership.

Last week, our students didn’t just talk about impact. They were trusted to create it.

And to top it off, we also received a speaker from the Mott Foundation to further support what’s happening inside 181.

That’s favor. That’s partnership. That’s momentum.

To the Mott Foundation, thank you for trusting our students.

To our teens, you proved something powerful: When you give young people responsibility, they rise to it.

181 isn’t just a program. It’s a movement.

And we’re just getting started.
