🎉❤️ ONE YEAR OF MOBILE MONDAY ❤️🎉

What a day. What a year. What a community.

Yesterday, we celebrated the one-year anniversary of FACT 989READS Mobile Monday, and our hearts are full.

One year ago, we launched Mobile Monday with a simple vision: bring books, resources, food, fun, and community directly to families. We had no idea how many lives would be touched, relationships would be built, and partnerships would grow along the way.

To every family who attended, every child who picked out a book, every volunteer who showed up, every community partner who set up a table, every sponsor who invested in our mission, and every friend who shared our vision—thank you.

Because of you, Mobile Monday has become more than an event. It has become a place where families connect, resources are shared, literacy is celebrated, and community happens.

Special thanks to our incredible partners, including the Public Libraries of Saginaw, ELGA Credit Union, Restoration Outreach Center, Great Lakes Bay Health Centers, Hungry Howie’s, Disability Network Mid-Michigan, Financial Plus Credit Union, Covenant Academy, Special Angels, United Way, Mary Five’s, Park and Play Mobile, Sis n Bros Tacos, PFLAG, Houghton-Jones Neighborhood Association My Michigan Health and the many organizations, businesses, and community leaders who continue to show up month after month.

We love Saginaw. We believe in Saginaw. And we are grateful to serve alongside so many people who care deeply about our children and families.

This anniversary celebration was our most exciting Mobile Monday yet, and we’re just getting started.

For the past year, Claire has been a consistent partner, helping students sign up for library cards, connect with valuable resources, and discover the joy of reading. Her dedication has helped open doors to learning, imagination, and opportunity for countless young people throughout our community.

Literacy changes lives, and Claire has been on the front lines of that mission every step of the way. Thank you for showing up month after month, encouraging our students, and helping make reading accessible for all.

We are grateful for your partnership and proud to have you as part of the Mobile Monday family.

💙🌟 We’re excited to welcome Special Angels Inc. to our FACT 989READS Mobile Monday One-Year Anniversary Celebration!

Special Angels creates opportunities for children and adults with special needs to participate in recreational activities in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Families attending Mobile Monday will have the opportunity to learn more about their programs and connect with community resources designed to support individuals with disabilities and their caregivers.

We are also grateful to have Nadia from Disability Network Mid-Michigan onsite to connect families with advocacy, resources, independent living supports, and disability-related services.

📚 ONE YEAR LATER… LOOK WHAT COMMUNITY BUILT. 💙

What started as a small literacy and outreach idea turned into something much bigger.
Over the last year, FACT 989READS Mobile Monday has served hundreds of families across Saginaw County through books, meals, hygiene items, household essentials, educational advocacy, referrals, youth activities, and real-time support.

But honestly?
The biggest thing we built was trust.

Families now walk into Mobile Monday knowing:

🤍 They won’t be judged for needing support

We know many of you have been asking, and we’re excited to share that Park and Play Mobile Gaming is returning for our FACT 989READS Mobile Monday One-Year Anniversary Celebration! 🎮

Youth will once again have the opportunity to enjoy interactive gaming, friendly competition, and hands-on fun while families connect with books, resources, community partners, and supports.

A huge thank you to Jacoby at Park and Play Mobile Gaming for continuing to invest in Saginaw youth and helping make Mobile Monday a fun and memorable experience for families.

A special thank you to Tomeka Smith and the team at Financial Plus Credit Union for partnering with us to empower our youth through financial literacy.

Through this partnership, students had the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of money management, banking, saving, and financial responsibility while exploring options for opening their own student checking accounts.

When we teach young people how to manage money, build healthy financial habits, and understand the banking system, we’re investing in their future success.
