Keep Genesee County Beautiful is thrilled to partner with In The Beginning: 1st Ward Project and organizations at the Flint Cultural Center!

This initiative establishes valuable relationship and community building amongst Flint residents in all 9 wards, helping to eliminate barriers to support social change and provide residents with available resources and programming from the participating Flint Cultural Area organizations: Flint Institute of Arts, Flint Institute of Music, Sloan Museum of Discovery, & Gloria Coles Flint Public Library.

You can expect Hands-on activities and experiences for all ages, Cultural area information, parks experiences & resources, connecting & networking, & more!

“ITB Creative Studio Lab” is an after-school maker program designed to engage Flint youth in hands-on, creative learning through the use of Cricut machines, printers, and crafting projects. Led by ITB Enrichment & Development Coordinator - Ms. TiOra Turner , this innovative lab cultivates self-expression, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship while teaching practical skills in design, crafting, and technology. The program creates a safe, inspiring space where youth transform their ideas into tangible works of art and functional products such as shirts, cups, and hats.

Location: Boys & Girls Club of Flint
Target Age Group: Youth ages 9-17
Schedule: Fridays | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
