Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

We gather in Your house today to obey Your command that we gather together, but that is not the only reason we gather. We gather to honor You, praise You, reverence You, worship You, hear from You and to fellowship with our real and eternal family just as it will be in our heavenly home for eternity. Church is a wonderful small sample of what eternity will be like. Thank You for giving us this amazing blessing.

In Jesus name, amen

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

We see many who claim to love You, but they don’t obey what Your Word says.

John 14 says: “Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves Me will obey My teaching. My Father will love them, and We will come to them and make Our home with them. Anyone who does not love Me will not obey My teaching.”

Help us to remember that we cannot say we love You, and disobey Your Words.
May we each and every day, take time to not only read Your Word, but also to apply it to our daily lives.

In Jesus name, amen

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

Sin is so prevalent in our world today, and we know that we all are born slaves to sin.

2 Corinthians 3 says: “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

And Romans 6 says: “thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.”

Thank You for giving us the opportunity to accept You as our personal Savior, so that we no longer have to be a slave to sin.

In Jesus name, amen

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

Many who claim to be Your followers want to stay in their comfort zone. They are ok with preaching to the choir, but they do not want to go after those who are lost and may sometimes be a challenge to reach.

Matthew 18 says: If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off ? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.

Help us to be willing to go after those that others have given up on. We may be that very connection that draws them to repentance and salvation.

In Jesus name, amen

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

Many either disbelieve, or fall away from You, because they experience tests of faith in this life.

Job 2 says: “Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity ? Curse God and die ! He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble ?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.

Help us to remember that we are placed here on this earth for a short time in order to be tested. Only those who hold firm in faith and do not give up when trials come, pass the testing and make it to heaven. The rest fall for Satan’s attempts to get them to fail.

In Jesus name, amen

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

We are looking forward to meeting You in the clouds very very soon.

1 Thessalonians 4 says: “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

We pray today for those who do not know You as their personal Savior. May their hearts be softened, and their eyes be opened to Your truth, so that they will not be left behind.

In Jesus name, amen

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

We see the times we live in today. People are more evil than they were in the days of Noah, and more immoral than they were in the days of S***m & Gomorrah. We know that Your reveal, Your return is upon us.

Luke 17 says: “And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: on the day that Lot went out of S***m it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

Help us to focus more on where we are going, than where we are leaving. Help us to focus on reaching the lost in these last few moments here on earth.

In Jesus name, amen

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we humbly come to Your house today, prepare our hearts, open our ears, and give our minds understanding. May our obedience to gather, our joining together in worship, and our willingness to listen intently to Your message, not only enrich our lives, but also give You the honor You deserve.

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

People misquote Your Word often. We hear “God will not give you more than you can handle” which is not at all true. In fact, it says that You will not let us be tempted beyond our ability.

1 Corinthians 10 says: “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

Help us to remember that You will give us more than we can handle, because if You only gave us what we could handle, we would have no need for You.

In Jesus name, amen

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

Unbelief in You is growing in our world today. Satan has blinded the eyes of millions, and they have believed his lies.

2 Thessalonians 2 says: “The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. All the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.”

And Hebrews 3 says: “See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily”

May we hold firmly to Your truth and overwhelming evidence, so that we too don’t fall prey to Satan’s blinding. May we encourage one another, so that none of us fall for his evil schemes to steal our wonderful promised future.

In Jesus name, amen
