Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

We should be daily and weekly checking ourselves to see if we are truly in the faith.

Do we have a desire each day to spend time with You ? Hear or read Your Word ? A desire to serve You ? A desire to gather with our church family in Your house ?

Or do we fill our days and weeks with our desires, our jobs, our families, our chores, our hobbies ?

2 Corinthians 13 reminds us to: “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you — unless, of course, you fail the test ?”

Lord, it’s so easy for Satan to get us distracted, help us to put our priorities in the right place, so that we are putting You first in our lives, so that we do not fail the test.

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help us to exemplify You in our daily walk and work.
Our friends, family members, co-workers, and bosses should be seeing blessings by being connected to us.

Genesis 39 tells us: “Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph”

May we keeps this in mind as we go about our day to day tasks. Help us to remember that those around us are watching to see if we are really living our lives as examples of You.

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

May we continually be helping one another when Satan attempts to draw one of us into his deceitful trap of a hardened heart, or unbelief.

Hebrews 3 says: “ Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.”

We will stand together as brothers and sisters in Your family against the evil that surrounds us.

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

We see too often today, people who walk away from You and lose their faith, simply because they have placed their faith in other sinful humans. Or they leave Your place of worship because they see other imperfect people there.

Jeremiah 17 reminds us: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord. But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord”

Help us to remember the reason we come into Your place of worship. It’s not so that we can surround ourselves with perfect people, but we are there to honor You.

Hebrews 12 reminds us “let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith”

Help us to focus on the perfecter of our faith, not those who are flawed humans just like we are.

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we gather in Your house today, regardless of Satans attempts to make it look like he is winning, we pray revival continues to spread across the globe. We pray for lost souls to be saved, broken lives to be mended, and addicted lives set free. Let our voices ring out in one accord today, let our fellowship grow, and may we hear Your Word spoken from the pulpits accross the planet today of an eternal life changing gift to a lost and dying world. Our time is short, and the fields are ripe for harvest.

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

Satan loves to get us all wrapped up in self, what our earthly flesh wants, what gives us earthly happiness.
Satan have convinced most that life is more about the journey, rather than the destination.

We as Your children, should not be focusing solely on our fading earthly pleasures.

Galatians 6 warns us: “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A person reaps what they sow. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life”

Help us to focus more on the mission You have entrusted us, rather than on the fleeting pleasures of this earth.
Help us to focus more on the destination rather than just the journey.

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

We know that in biblical days, there were no such words as employer, boss, and employee. Those who worked for someone was a servant or slave, and their employer was their master.

We see in 1 Peter 2 18 it tells us: “Slaves, in reverent fear of God submit yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh”

And Colossians 3:23-24 tells us: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Help us to be good representatives of You whether our employer is godly or ungodly, so that through our honesty, kindness, and good work ethic, they too may be led to accept You as their personal savior.

Dear Heavenly Father,

When others try to get us to participate in their juvenile arguments over things that have no relevance whatsoever in our spiritual walk and eternal future, quickly remind us of what really matters.

2 Timothy 14 tells us: “Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels”

Help us to always remain the adult in the room, or simply walk out when things get heated, rather than joining in on meaningless and childish conversations.

Pastor Rascal’s Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

We as Your children, find is hard to understand how people do not see the truth of the gospel right in front of them.

Help us to remember that Satan is the god of this world and as long as they are unbelievers, he controls them like a puppet master.
None of us has the power to overcome him on our own. None of us has the ability to see the truth until we surrender to You are filled with Your Spirit.

2 Corinthians 4 tells us: “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God”

We pray for their hearts to surrender to You, and their eyes to be opened to the truth that has set us free and had such an amazing life altering impact on us.
