Are you a busy dad looking for a program that allows you to spend quality time with your child? Adventure Guides (formerly Indian Guides) was developed by the YMCA to help strengthen bonds between parents and their children. Imagine hiking through the woods, rolling in the winter snow, singing around a campfire, just learning and exploring together. The Adventure Guide program is an ideal way to s

hare in the excitement of many of your child’s first experiences – experiences that will be remembered for a lifetime! This program is for fathers and their children starting at age 5. We welcome both sons and daughters into our program. Our main activities are four campout trips per year to various YMCA camps in or near New Jersey. You don't have to be a YMCA member to join us. Typical activities include hiking, archery, horseback riding, canoeing, campfires, gaga ball, riflery, climbing wall, arts & crafts, fishing, cross-country skiing, tubing, cider making, and much more!
