My 2026 Budget Recommendations
As we look ahead to 2026, I’ve put forward a bold, student and staff-centered budget that prioritizes:
✔️ Teacher pay increases
✔️ Raises for classified staff
✔️ Affordable housing assistance
✔️ Childcare support
✔️ Free lunch for staff
✔️ Athletic and afterschool expansion
✔️ Pay incentives for hard-to-fill positions
✔️ Long-term retention strategies
This is about recruitment.
This is about retention.
This is about putting students first.
And yes — it’s an election year for them.
Now is the time for the community to be engaged. If you believe in investing in our educators, strengthening our schools, and building a competitive district, I encourage you to respectfully reach out to your board members and let them know these priorities matter to you.
