🍎 5,124 Kids Fed! Today marks the last day of school for kids in the North Florida area!

We want to send a massive THANK YOU to every donor and supporter of Blessings in a Backpack - North Florida Chapter.

Together, we kept thousands of local children nourished this school year. But our work does not stop for summer vacation. ☀️ Hunger doesn’t take a summer break. This year, we are launching year-round programs to ensure kids stay fed during the summer months.

That’s a wrap on our final food packing event for the 2025-2026 school year! 🎒✨

Together, we packed 500 food bags at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club to support local children through the Blessings in a Backpack program, ensuring they have the nutrition they need over the weekends.

A massive thank you to the incredible Fellows Program of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law (RPPTL) Section of the Florida Bar for hosting this final event and showing what community leadership looks like. 🤝❤️

Hagan Ace Hardware of Anastasia in St. Augustine Beach has been supporting Blessings in a Backpack with a round up program for the past eight years! This month the store presented Blessings with a check in the amount of $436! This donation will help provide almost 90 weekend nutrition food bags for kids in need!

Thank you to everyone who supported Bingo Night #2 at Culhane's in Atlantic Beach. Between both events we raised nearly $1,200. This will help provide over 200 weekend food bags for kids in need in North Florida.

If you were not able to attend this week's Bingo - you can still support Blessings in a Backpack by dining at either Culhane's location and "round up" for Blessings. The round up runs the entire month of May.

Thank you Culhane's Irish Pub & Restaurant - for supporting local nonprofits and making a positive difference in our community.

Every Friday, Mrs. Chang at Love Grove Elementary School helps ensure kids in the Blessings in a Backpack program receive their food bags. Every week, a total of 411 students receive a bag of nutritious food to take home for the weekends. Love Grove is one of four school that the Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation fully support.

Blessings in a Backpack is grateful for our volunteers and supporters who help us feed over 5,1000 kids in North Florida every week!

Special thanks to the Dart Bar & Games for hosting "A Night in the Garden Adult Prom" last month to help raise funds for Blessings in a Backpack North Florida Chapter. The event raised $1,012! Thank you to everyone who attended this fun unique event and to the entire team at Dart Bar & Games. This donation will help provide over 200 hunger free weekends.

Happy Friday! Today in our community over 5,100 kids will go home with a bag of food to help ensure they have a hunger free weekend.

This school year we started a new Blessings in a Backpack program at Ruth N. Upson Elementary in the Murray Hill area of Jacksonville.
Every week 46 kids at this school receive food.

Thank you to all our school volunteers and teachers who help distribute Blessings food bags every week.

Blessings in a Backpack North Florida Chapter is excited to be participating in a special one-day online day of giving that begins today, May 6 at Noon.

Giving Day is a 24-hour online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and the causes they care about. It is hosted by the John 1:16 Foundation and sponsored by Endless Summer Realty (ESR), The FOCUS Group (TFG), and The National Christian Foundation (NCF) hosted by the John 1:16 Foundation.
