They’ve had lots to say lately !!

10/11/2026

We may have been a little quiet on here this past week, but I promise things have been anything BUT quiet at Mending Broken Bits!

We’ve been busy making some much-needed improvements around the property!

We’ve been clearing the pond banks, opening up and connecting trails, building a new walkway into the barn, and creating a run-in area for the horses. This will also allow us to get our round pen set up instead of relying on the barn gates!

Little by little, things are coming together, and every improvement has a purpose. We’re working toward making MBB safer, more accessible, and better equipped for both our animals and the people who come here.

There’s still plenty to do, but looking around and seeing how far this place has come is pretty incredible.

We might not be posting every day, but we’re definitely still out here putting in the work!

Sometimes healing looks like this.

Sunshine. Quiet. A horse beside you. And a place where nobody needs you to explain anything.

This is Mending Broken Bits. 💜

If you are near Effingham Illinois area, this is a great opportunity! I’m pretty sure they have weekend times also!

We really need volunteers as we have not had many folks out lately. The weather is beautiful so if you have some extra time we really would appreciate some help. The horses are waiting to see you!!

Mr. Deeds as I have mentioned will be going to a therapy program Mending Broken Bits LLC 💕Today I was working with him and thought this is perfect example of why I need to keep pushing my 🎟raffle🎟

Without funding from 🎟raffles🎟 and donations, I can't bring in horses and burros to train and place. I can't provide the groceries and vet care to get them ready for training. Without help I can only do a fraction of what I am capable of. Please help me make a difference.🙏

The current raffle ends Oct 15th📆 with a live draw. Spots are 💲2️⃣5️⃣each and I will ship it FREE to the winner in the lower 48. The raffle is pinned to my page and valued at over $250.

Tomorrow we start again! 💜🐴

Our first MBB Kids Club of the new Seasons on the Farm series starts tomorrow, and I’m excited to see where this one takes us!

We’re starting with PREPARING 🍂 — getting the farm and our animals ready for the season ahead.

Over the next seven months these kids will get to experience it all right along with us.

Preparing. Providing. Growing.

Real animals. Real farm work. Lots of outside time. And if I know MBB, probably a whole lot of learning that has absolutely nothing to do with what I had planned. 😂💜

See you tomorrow, Kids Club!

Ever wonder how animals can help us heal, grow, and understand ourselves a little better?

Equine-Assisted Counseling is hands-on, grounded in connection, and doesn’t involve riding. No horse experience needed. 💜

We’re all set up at the Heath Harvest Festival in Robinson! 💜🐴

Come find the purple tent and say hi!

If you’ve been following Mending Broken Bits and wondering what exactly we do—or how in the world horses can help people when we don’t even ride them—today is a perfect day to come ask!

Grab a bracelet, check out what we have coming up, and let me tell you a little about what we’re building right here in our community.

Come see us! 💜
