Moar Properties, LLC owned by Flagstaff locals, has agreed to lease two office spaces to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This decision threatens the safety and autonomy of our entire community.

ICE has been connected to at least 82 deaths and 57 injuries in just the past year, with a documented pattern of overriding local law enforcement and destabilizing the communities it enters. With state detention centers at capacity, these offices will almost certainly become makeshift holding cells, likely in violation of the property’s zoning, which permits commercial and administrative use only.

La Ciudad tiene un formulario para reportar incidentes con ICE y nos hace creer que es una manera segura de compartir esta información, pero al reverso del formulario indican lo contrario.  Este formulario fue creado por una tercera plataforma, y los datos recolectados pueden incluir información identificatoria y técnica y no hay ninguna seguridad de protección contra el brindar esta información usando una diligencia legal  o el criterio de la agencia.  Todos debemos de asumir que cualquier información enviada se puede almacenar, tener acceso y potencialmente será compartida de lo más allá de lo que fue la intención.

The City’s ICE-reporting form is being presented like a safe way to share information, but the fine print tells a different story. The form runs on a third-party platform, collected data may include identifying and technical information, and there is no ironclad protection against disclosure through legal process or ordinary agency discretion. People should assume anything submitted could be stored, accessed, and potentially shared beyond what they intended.

The number of migrant deaths reported by the Pima and Maricopa County AZ Medical Examiners in March was 12 😞

Recently-found individuals grouped by PMI (Post Mortem Interval):
1 dead less than a day
8 dead more than 6-8 months
3 unspecified (Maricopa cases)
Total: 12

Four individuals were newly identified by name (1,647 cases remain unidentified).
