The goals of Connect2Help Circle are to organize community assets of individuals and goods, provide opportunities for meaningful community-wide participation, and reduce barriers experienced by people. C2HC does not take the place of social services. It helps to meet needs outside their mission. Helpers...people with resources that are able and willing to help others
* Volunteers sign up as Helper
s on the C2HC website. Helpers can remain anonymous if they wish.
* Receive and read emails of registered needs from the community
* Respond to the email if they can meet or assist with the need
* Everything you donate is 100% tax deductible
* Delete the email if they cannot meet the need
Needs....
* People are invited to register their unmet needs on the C2HC website. Anyone can register a need - an individual, family member, or a helping professional.
* Personally identifiable information about people in need is not included in emails to Helpers.
* The need must be something that causes problems or difficulties, can't be met or isn't available from other sources or service agencies. Needs can be:
* An item, such as a refrigerator, furniture, kitchenware, bedroom furniture, baby items, etc.....
* Knowledge of something, such as how to make a family budget
* A special talent or ability, such as how to plant a garden or fix a car
* A wish to share similar experiences with someone else
We make sure the connection is made and the need is met. Data is maintained for evaluation purposes and to recognize the efforts of participants. Benefits of Connect2Help Circle to communities or organizations include:
* Community - organizational members become aware of the "strengths" of the community, people skills, talents, and knowledge - and not just its deficits.
* Community or organizational service planning can be based on data that describes the real, immediate needs of the people in the community.
* The spirit of community or organizational giving and civility is recognized and celebrated
