Pesto, anyone? If you're a lover of pine nuts, meet your new best friend: the Pinyon Pine.

Pinyon pine nuts have been a staple for local peoples for thousands of years, and native wildlife like the Pinyon Jay are big fans too! These trees, along with their Juniper neighbors, are able to grow right on the rim of the Canyon, where the soil is rough and rocky, water is limited, and winds can be fierce. At least they have a great view!
