Summary:
Activities will include a pro cannabis rally at 4:20 PM- Just outside of the Steele Indian School Park on the NW corner of 3rd Street and Indian School in Phoenix, Arizona. Rally Speakers will include Jim Mealer, the only gubernatorial candidate who is actively campaigning to legalize and decriminalize ma*****na; local ma*****na attorney and activist, Thomas Dean, who authored the NORML Freedom Card; Democratic candidate for the US House in AZ District 4, Mikel Weiser and pro cannabis advocate Dennis Bohlke who authored a ballot initiative to legalize cannabis in AZ. Informational Tables from Campaign Against Ma*****na Prohibition (CAMP420), Phoenix Cannabis Coalition (PCC), the Human Solution, Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) and other pro cannabis organizations are expected along with local medical ma*****na businesses who have accepted invitations.
After the rally, there will be a slowly paced, one mile, round-trip, march from 3rd street and Indian School---We will offer a moment of silence to the Veterans suffering with PTSD who might have been helped from Dr Sue Sisley's federally approved research. Arizona elected official Kimberly Yee chose science over politics and her actions of halting reputable scientific research are not forgotten as we march past the Phoenix VA Hospital today. The march will double back to inside the park to gather for a peaceful picnic with music and games. Participants are asked to “bring your Signs, your voices, your music and ART!”
Event is free and open to the public. All ages welcome, Under 18 w/ parent or guardian.
“The Global Ma*****na March also goes by the names of the Million Ma*****na March (MMM) and the Global Cannabis March. The Global Ma*****na March (GMM) is an annual rally held at different locations across the planet. It refers to cannabis-related events that occur on the first Saturday in May, or thereabouts, and may include marches, meetings, rallies, raves, concerts, festivals and information tables.”
