What happens when a community comes together around a table?

Connection. Laughter. Generosity. Hope.

Our Annual Native Frybread Dinner brought together neighbors, supporters, volunteers, and friends to celebrate community while raising more than $3,000 to support Cancer Support Community Arizona in Northern Arizona.

Every meal shared, every conversation, and every act of generosity helps ensure that individuals and families impacted by cancer continue to have access to free support, education, and community.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and helped make the evening possible—thank you. Because of you, no one has to face cancer alone. 💛

Some of the strongest advocates for Cancer Support Community Arizona are the healthcare professionals who see the impact every day.

Cancer care doesn't end when treatment does. Having a community that understands the journey can make all the difference.

Thank you, Dr. Lindquist, for recognizing the importance of connection, education, and support for everyone impacted by cancer. 💛

As summer begins to wind down, we're reminded that some of the most meaningful moments happen when we come together.

Whether it's sharing encouragement in a support group, joining a morning walk, practicing yoga, asking questions, celebrating milestones, or simply spending time with others who understand, community has a way of carrying us through the difficult days.

At Cancer Support Community Arizona, you'll find more than a place to cool off from the summer heat—you'll find a place where you'll be seen, heard, welcomed, and embraced.

If you've been thinking about connecting with others who understand the cancer journey, we invite you to join us. You don't have to face this journey alone. 💛

This summer, prostate cancer survivors participated in a statewide PhotoVoice initiative, sharing their cancer stories through photography.

Now, as we celebrate CSCAZ’s 5th anniversary in northern Arizona, we are expanding the initiative to invite all cancer survivors and caregivers to participate. 💛

PhotoVoice is an empowering and reflective project where participants select a topic related to their cancer journey and photograph images that resonate with them. Where words fail, photos can become the storyteller.

Learn more about the PhotoVoice project and see the stories that have already been shared: https://www.valleychildrens.org/services/childhood-cancer-survivorship/photovoice

Then, join us for one of our upcoming 30-minute creative education workshops to learn how to share your PhotoVoice as part of our October 10 anniversary celebration.

⚽ The Beautiful Game
Soccer, or football as it is known around the world, is often called the Beautiful Game. There is something special about watching talented individuals step into the roles where they can shine, support one another, and work toward something greater than themselves.

That is when a group becomes more than a collection of players. It becomes a team capable of extraordinary things.
That same spirit is what we see in the CSCAZ Northern Arizona community every day. 💛

You show up for one another through cancer challenges with compassion, courage, and generosity—visiting one another in hospitals or rehabilitation centers, providing rides to doctor’s appointments, shopping for each other, sending encouraging texts and emails, sharing coffee or lunch, and attending support groups so no one has to sit with a difficult day alone.

Thank you for being such an uplifting and supportive community—a team that reminds us, repeatedly, that no one faces cancer alone when surrounded by people who understand, encourage, and walk the journey together. 💛

🇺🇸 Walk With Us This Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

Join Cancer Support Community Arizona's float in the annual Flagstaff Fourth of July Parade and help raise awareness about our mission to provide free support, education, and resources to anyone impacted by cancer.

We're looking for walkers to join us as we celebrate community, connection, and hope in downtown Flagstaff on Saturday, July 4.

✨ Staging begins at 8:00 AM
✨ Parade starts at 9:00 AM

Community is more than a word. It's a place where we are seen, supported, and reminded that we don't have to face life's hardest moments alone.

At Cancer Support Community Arizona, relationships become a source of strength. It's where people impacted by cancer come together to share experiences, find understanding, learn from one another, and build meaningful connections rooted in compassion and hope.

No matter where you are in your cancer journey, patient, survivor, caregiver, family member, or friend—you belong here.

This summer, we invite you to be an active part of our community. Your understanding, your voice, your experience, your thoughts are valued here. We are not the same without you. 💛
