Cancer Support Community Arizona - Northern Arizona

Cancer Support Community Arizona provides free support programs for all people impacted by cancer.

Since 1998, Cancer Support Community Arizona's programs have been designed to help ease the burden of the cancer journey for cancer patients and their loved ones. In 2020, we proudly opened the doors to our Flagstaff location to serve northern Arizona. Our programs include support groups, healthy lifestyle programs, education presentations, social connections, a wig salon, and connecting newly dia

gnosed patients and families to resources. Our programs are always provided at no cost, open to anyone impacted by cancer, based on research, led by professionals, virtual and in person, and offered throughout Arizona. We are a network partner of The Cancer Support Community, which has 190 locations worldwide, including 52 affiliates and healthcare partnerships. Our Mission

🇺🇸 Walk With Us This Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

Join Cancer Support Community Arizona's float in the annual Flagstaff Fourth of July Parade and help raise awareness about our mission to provide free support, education, and resources to anyone impacted by cancer.

We're looking for walkers to join us as we celebrate community, connection, and hope in downtown Flagstaff on Saturday, July 4.

✨ Staging begins at 8:00 AM
✨ Parade starts at 9:00 AM

We encourage everyone to wear red, white, and blue—or your favorite "F-bomb Cancer" tee! Be sure to bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, comfortable walking shoes, and plenty of water.

For added convenience, participants are welcome to park at our Flagstaff campus (914 N. San Francisco Street) and walk back after the parade concludes.

We'll send registered participants final staging details once they are released by the Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce on June 26.

Come help us spread awareness, celebrate survivorship, honor loved ones, and show our community that no one faces cancer alone. 💛

Arizona State University, along with Cancer Support Community, is inviting men with prostate cancer and caregivers to participate in a PhotoVoice workshop focused on storytelling, survivorship, and quality of life.
PhotoVoice uses photography and personal reflection to help individuals share meaningful experiences related to prostate cancer, treatment, caregiving, and survivorship.
Participants will:
📸 Create visual stories using photos and personal narratives
💬 Reflect on experiences related to prostate cancer and quality of life
🤝 Connect with others through storytelling and shared experiences
📢 Contribute to future educational and community awareness efforts

Week one (Thursday, June 4, 4–6 PM) will introduce the project, and week two (Thursday, June 11, 4–6 PM) will provide an opportunity to discuss and share the work created during the workshop process.

🐾 Paws 4 Hope: Pickleball Event

What could be more fun than playing pickleball while raising funds for those impacted by cancer across Northern Arizona?

Join us for the Pickleball Round Robin Tournament at Paws 4 Hope! For a $25 registration fee per person, you can sign up to play. Games will run from 11 AM – 3 PM at the new pickleball court complex at the west end of Bushmaster Park.

On Friday, April 17, head on down to The Gopher Hole Pub inside the Weatherford Hotel in Historic Downtown Flagstaff for Bras for a Cause—a night of fashion, inspiring stories, and fabulously decorated bras.

The festivities begin at 5 PM and will include live music and a crowd vote for the best bra.

No registration is necessary. A suggested donation of $15 per person is requested upon entry, with all proceeds benefiting Cancer Support Community Northern Arizona and supporting our free-of-charge programs for families facing cancer.

Happy April Showers. 🌧️🌈

After a “pretend winter,” this week’s rain feels like such a gift—bringing hope, renewal, and the reminder that something beautiful often follows.

Last week, we experienced that same kind of hope at Rise for a Reason.
Over 100 new friends came together to learn more about Cancer Support Community in Northern Arizona—and many chose to support those impacted by cancer in our region.

We are so grateful to everyone who gave, whether through a one-time gift or an ongoing commitment. Because of you, we can continue offering support groups, education, wellness programs, and meaningful connections—completely free of charge.

Just like the rain, this community shows up when it’s needed most.
And just like a rainbow, it reminds us that hope is always possible.
