Cancer Support Community Arizona provides free support programs for all people impacted by cancer.

Since 1998, Cancer Support Community Arizona's programs have been designed to help ease the burden of the cancer journey for cancer patients and their loved ones. In 2020, we proudly opened the doors to our Flagstaff location to serve northern Arizona. Our programs include support groups, healthy lifestyle programs, education presentations, social connections, a wig salon, and connecting newly diagnosed patients and families to resources. Our programs are always provided at no cost, open to anyone impacted by cancer, based on research, led by professionals, virtual and in person, and offered throughout Arizona. We are a network partner of The Cancer Support Community, which has 190 locations worldwide, including 52 affiliates and healthcare partnerships. Our Mission
Cancer Support Community Arizona uplifts and strengthens people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities, and breaking down barriers to care. Our Vision

During Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, CSCAZ participants Keri and Taylor shared an important reminder earlier this month about cancer screening and early diagnosis. 💙

Their message focused on low-grade serous ovarian cancer — a rare form of ovarian cancer that is resistant to chemotherapy and tends to affect younger women, making early diagnosis especially important.

It’s a reminder worth sharing beyond a single awareness day.

This September, we encourage our community to keep learning, keep raising awareness and keep conversations about cancer screening and early diagnosis going.

More awareness. Earlier detection. More options. More tomorrows. 💙

A prostate cancer diagnosis can bring a lot of questions — about treatment options, potential side effects and what life may look like moving forward.

Our next Thursday Talk is an opportunity to get informed. Dr. Ajay Bhatnagar, a nationally recognized interventional radiation oncologist and expert in prostate LDR brachytherapy, will join us to discuss this advanced treatment option. He will share his research and expertise on prostate cancer treatment, symptoms, and potential long-term side effects.

This educational workshop is designed for prostate cancer patients, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about prostate cancer and treatment options

This September, we’re turning our attention to teal for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. 💙

On Tuesday, September 22, join us at Flagstaff City Hall as a proclamation recognizing Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month is read during the City Council meeting.

CSCAZ participant and ovarian cancer survivor Olga Tsoudis will be there helping raise awareness and reminding our community leaders why continued education and awareness matter.

The City Council session begins at 3 p.m., and we hope to appear early on the agenda. Olga will have teal pens to share, and we invite you to wear teal and join us in showing your support.

After the proclamation, we plan to gather downtown for coffee or a snack and continue the connection. 💙

We hope to see our Northern Arizona community there!

Five years ago, Cancer Support Community Arizona opened its doors in Flagstaff with one belief at the heart of it all: no one should face cancer alone. ❤️

Since then, our Northern Arizona community has become a place where individuals impacted by cancer can find support, connection and people who understand — whether navigating a new diagnosis, caring for someone they love or simply needing a place to feel less alone.

On October 10, we’re celebrating those first five years — and looking ahead to the next five — together.

The day will include A Walk to Remember, with two opportunities to walk:

❤️ 9 a.m. — 1.5-mile walk beginning at our Flagstaff location, with medical partners and educational stops along the way
❤️ 11 a.m. — Walk on the NAU campus, beginning at the Upper Observatory Field

Plus, join us throughout the day for plant-based nutrition workshops, sound bath healing, a breast cancer education workshop, yoga, expressive arts and a complimentary lunch.

We’re incredibly grateful to Northern Arizona Healthcare, Kinney Construction Services, Starbucks and Culinary Concepts Southwest for helping make A Walk to Remember possible.

Come celebrate where we’ve been, the community that made these five years possible and all that’s still ahead. ❤️

Our Annual Native Frybread Dinner brought together neighbors, supporters, volunteers, and friends to celebrate community while raising more than $3,000 to support Cancer Support Community Arizona in Northern Arizona.

Every meal shared, every conversation, and every act of generosity helps ensure that individuals and families impacted by cancer continue to have access to free support, education, and community.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and helped make the evening possible—thank you. Because of you, no one has to face cancer alone. 💛
