Folks of Flagstaff, winter has arrived, with a high chance of snow this week!

We need your help as a community to assure our unsheltered neighbors have a warm and safe place to sleep. If you know someone in need of a place to sleep, please send them our way. We are here 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

If you see someone in need of shelter from the cold, help us make sure they can get to our shelter by calling the Non-Emergency line at 928-774-1414, or you can call us directly at 928-225-2533 ext 301.

If you see someone, say something. Keep yourselves and your neighbors safe, friends.

Flagstaff:
We have to vote for Proposition No. 442 this November. You will hear that your taxes will go up if you vote for this. That is a full-on legally-required lie that was forced on us by state lobbyists (like business groups). The state of Arizona requires municipalities to lie to its citizens whenever a bond question is asked. This lie is that your property taxes will be increased. They will not be increased, they'll simply not be decreased. The analogy is that this is a penny bank that you are already putting money into. If you vote no, your tax rate will not go down for at least two years. In the meantime, there will be another bond question that takes that money out of the penny bank.

Question No. 442 - Creating rental and homeownership opportunities for residents of Flagstaff

To create rental and homeownership opportunities for residents of Flagstaff, shall the City of Flagstaff be authorized to issue and sell general obligation bonds in a principal amount up to $20,000,000 for the purpose of:

* redeveloping City owned housing to create additional affordable rental units;
* repurposing existing available buildings into rental units;
* incentivizing the private sector to incorporate affordable rental housing into new developments; and
* expanding the homebuyer assistance program?

Flagstaff, this is *your* state representative. This is how he feels about women losing their bodily autonomy and right to choose. Are you okay with this being the man who represents you and makes legislation that effects you in such major ways? We have to vote.
