What an exciting day! A team of Housing Solutions staff and a board member recently toured our Izabel Street Apartments construction site, and it was incredibly rewarding to see the progress since breaking ground last September. Landscaping has begun, cabinetry continues to be installed, and interior finish work is moving forward on these 11 three-bedroom apartments.

Once complete, these Housing Solutions' apartments will provide stable, affordable housing for local households experiencing homelessness, households at risk of homelessness, and survivors of domestic violence. Rent will be based on household income, helping ensure these units remain accessible to those who need them most.

While we are not accepting applications at this time, construction is expected to be completed this fall. When the project is ready for occupancy, we will work with community partners serving eligible populations to accept referrals.

Projects like this are only possible because of the support of our donors, community partners, and funding agencies. Thank you to the Arizona Department of Housing, City of Flagstaff - Housing, and everyone who has helped make this vision a reality. Special appreciation goes to Hope Construction, LLC, whose hard work is transforming plans on paper into essential rentals for our community.

We can't wait to welcome future residents home!

A heartfelt thank you to Cedar Closet of Flagstaff for their incredible generosity and ongoing support of families at Sharon Manor.

Their thoughtful donations help families experiencing homelessness who move into transitional housing have some of their immediate needs met. From move-in baskets that welcome new households, to birthday gifts that help children feel celebrated, to special Mother's Day gifts for residents, their kindness brings comfort, dignity, and encouragement during a time of significant transition.

Community partnerships like this make a lasting difference. Thank you, Cedar Closet, for helping create a warm and supportive environment where survivors and their families can focus on healing, rebuilding, and moving toward long-term housing stability.

We're still feeling incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support at our 2026 “500 Dreams, 1 Mission” Breakfast Fundraiser & Impact Celebration!

Our community showed up in a big way, making the morning a powerful celebration of connection, hope, and the impact we can create together. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and donors, the event raised more than $60,000 in essential funding to help ensure our programs continue to thrive in bringing safe, stable, and affordable housing to Northern Arizona.

Access to food can make a meaningful difference for households working to regain stability.

Our case manager at JoJo's Place has been working hard to revamp the on-site pantry space available to residents. Recently, one resident shared that the pantry space has changed significantly and has been really helpful. The resident explained that they do not have to worry as much about having something to eat until their next paycheck because they know they can come to the pantry and access food if needed, which has relieved a lot of stress.

A huge thank you to our generous local donors, as well as the Flagstaff Family Food Center and St. Mary's Food Bank, for helping make the pantry possible. Together, you're helping ensure residents have access to nutritious food while they work toward long-term housing stability.

We were excited this week when boxes of kitchen cabinetry arrived on site at our Izabel St Apartments construction site, and installation is officially underway. This is another meaningful step forward as we move toward our projected completion this fall.

These future affordable rentals will help expand access to safe, stable housing for local households experiencing homelessness, households at risk of homelessness, and survivors of domestic violence here in our community.

A major milestone for Housing Solutions and our community!

We've helped more than 500 households achieve homeownership through our housing assistance programs, administering more than $10 million in down payment and closing cost assistance to date.

These aren't just numbers—they're local families, teachers, healthcare workers, nonprofit employees, first responders, and other members of our community who now have greater housing stability and a place to call home long-term.

Thank you to our funding partners, lenders, Realtors, and community supporters who have helped make this impact possible. We're proud to be creating pathways to homeownership in northern Arizona—and we're just getting started.

Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona (HSNAZ) recently celebrated a milestone as the 500th household receiving aid from its down payment assistance programs across the region closed on their new home.

A huge thank you to the The Literacy Center (Flagstaff) for generously donating books to support residents at our JoJo’s Place Transitional Housing Program!

Thanks to the creativity and hard work of our on-site case manager, the JoJo’s Place pantry continues to grow. Alongside shelf-stable foods and essential toiletries, residents can now also check out books and games to enjoy and later return.

Access to activities, learning, and simple moments of connection can help JoJo’s Place feel even more like home while residents work toward identifying and accessing permanent housing, along with other self-identified case management goals. We’re so grateful for community partners like the The Literacy Center!

Construction progress on Izabel Street is moving right along!

Exterior siding and drywall are complete, painting is underway, the parking lot has officially been paved, and we are looking forward to cabinet installation next week. Every step forward brings us closer to welcoming future residents home.
