9. FIRE’s award-winning public health programs in rural Mongolia have been featured by WHO (World Health Organization), the Economist, and the World Hepatitis Alliance. Our mission is to improve health and development through value-centered, community-based programs encompassing cultural diversity and heritage. Our vision is to see communities around the world empowered with a higher quality of life through access to safe health care and sustainable resources for responsible development. We have been importing Mongolian gers to the United States from the same factory in Ulaanbaatar since 2005. This program not only supports our office in Mongolia with the proceeds, making our programming possible, but it also supports local craftsmen and women in Mongolia and shares Mongolian culture with the world. All proceeds support FIRE's awarding-winning programming, currently focused on eliminating hepatitis C across Mongolia. A portion of each yurt price is a tax-deductible donation.
