~✨Meet FCEA’s Building Reps at Belle Terre Elementary… Jill Bredin and Nicole Harper. The building representatives act as the primary on-site link between school staff and FCEA, advocating for members and enforcing the collective bargaining agreement. Thank you for all you do! 🍎💪🏻

FCEA Members,

At our last bargaining session, the District presented its financial position and countered FCEA’s proposals.

The District rejected much of FCEA’s financial proposal siting insurance and other financial pressures. We hear those concerns but FCEA continues to have serious questions about how resources are budgeted and prioritized.

Our educators have continued delivering the level of instruction and support that helped Flagler Schools earn an A rating. Maintaining that level requires adequate staffing, competitive compensation, and enough time for educators to do the work being required of them.

Workload remains another major concern.

Educators are being asked to do more and more with too little time to get it all done.
When we raised these concerns, the District told us employees need to raise the red flag when workload becomes a problem.

So make the workload impossible to ignore.

STOP DONATING YOUR TIME. STOP WORKING FOR FREE. WORK YOUR CONTRACT!

Continue serving your students and meeting your professional and legal responsibilities. But when there simply is not enough time to complete everything being required, document it. Notify administration. Make the workload visible.

And now we need educators in the room at our next bargaining session.

🔴 SHOW UP. WEAR RED. FILL THE ROOM!!!!
