Yesterday, in torrential downpours and 30–40 mph wind gusts, Project Share volunteers still showed up and provided food to more than 600 families at our monthly Mobile Food Drop. OUTSIDE!
These photos capture the faces of compassion and commitment: 16 year old students working side by side with senior citizens (including a couple in their mid eighties who smiled through it all), and volunteers from every walk of life. Everyone who came could have stayed home, warm and dry. But they didn’t. They chose to stand in the wind and rain to serve others. We are deeply grateful and inspired by this dedication. Thank you to every volunteer — and thank you to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida for providing the food that made this possible.
