Earlier this week, the Fitchburg Community Lions Club gathered and put together mini first aid kits for the Community Health Resource Fair coming up on Thursday, September 24 from 4:00–7:00 PM. Come see us there and get a free mini first-aid kit!

We also made progress on our new Stars for Our Troops project. We’re still collecting flags with stitched stars to keep this project moving. If you have any flags you can donate, please reach out to Tammy at [email protected] or send us a direct message! More information about the project in the flyer below.

Do you have a worn American flag at home? Give it new purpose. 🇺🇸

Through the Stars for Our Troops program, we cut the embroidered stars from retired, tattered flags and seal each one in a keepsake pouch — a small reminder to military members, veterans, and first responders that their service is valued and not forgotten.

Since 2010, Stars for Our Troops has repurposed over 27,000 flags, one star at a time. We accept American-made, 100% cotton flags with stitched (not printed) stars.

Have a flag to donate? Contact Tammy Arguelles at (978) 962-8833 or [email protected]. Every flag counts.

The Fitchburg Community Lions started their year "rooted" in service, literally. We spent the morning clearing brush and debris at Coggshall Park — keeping our green spaces safe, beautiful, and enjoyable for the whole community. Proud of our members for stepping up!
