Townsend Memorial Day parade and MW Henry Price wreath laying ceremony.
Today the Townsend community and Massachusetts Freemasonry turned out in the cold and rain to show their gratitude for the men and women who served and sacrificed for our great country. And to honor the father of American Freemasonry and Townsend resident MW Henry Price.
It could have easily been a day to stay inside where it was warm and dry and say, “I’ll do it next year.” But we know our one day of discomfort is nothing compared to the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who never got a day off due to inclement weather — serving far from home so we can enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted, including spending time with family and friends.
One day to say thank you.
One day to pay respect.
One day to show how grateful we are for all we have.
Truthfully, it should be every day.
Charles W. Moore Lodge is grateful.
The 22nd Masonic District is grateful.
And Massachusetts Freemasonry is forever grateful.
Thank you to all who have served, those currently serving, and those who will serve in the future. 🇺🇸
