I’d like to apologize to our regular visitors to the Cicero’s Little Library in Fishkill’s book box. Because of my wife Jeri’s year long battle with breast cancer and subsequent passing I have been unable to pay attention to the library box until now and apparently have been targeted by some sort of spammers who fill the box with inappropriate titles that fall outside the guidelines of the Little Free Library organization. I have cleaned out the box and have put in orders for resupplies of the innocuous titles typically found in a library box. I view this spammer conduct as some form of book burning and will check and scrutinize the box everyday. I am the author of 40 books and I am not intimidated by those who would seek to silence our First Amendment rights. There is a reason the founders made these rights first in our Constitution. And please feel free again to take a book and leave a book or just leave or just take one. It’s all good.
