Fishing 🎣 Day with Cub Scouts Pack 11 Sherando Lake Family Recreation Area Campground

06/22/2026

It was a fun filled day of Fishing 🎣 with our Pack 11 families on Saturday at Sherando Lake! Thank you to all who came to enjoy the day and we missed those who couldn’t make it.

The kids had a blast and so did the adults. 😊The weather was perfect and the picnic lunch as delicious! 🌭

We welcomed a new Scout to Pack 11 as well. Welcome to Dylan & his family! We are looking forward to more adventures together this summer. ☀️

🎣🐟 Cub Scout Pack 11 Fishing Day is almost here! 🐟🎣
Grab your poles—or borrow one of ours—and join us for a fun morning at Sharando Lake!

We'll enjoy fishing and a hot dog lunch together. Whether you're an experienced angler or trying fishing for the first time, this is a great opportunity for Scouts and families to get outdoors and have some fun.

⚠️ Please note: Adults who plan to fish are required to have a valid Virginia fishing license.
We can't wait to spend the day at the water making memories with our Pack 11 families. See you at the lake! 🎣🌭🌲

Presenting our Arrow of lights.
Through lots of hard work and dedication these boys have been awarded the highest achievement a cub can get the arrow of the light.
We will miss these boys dearly in our pack but wish them the best of luck in Fishersville BSA Troop 11

Our Cubs achievement ceremony was amazing. The boys put in a lot of hard work with their den leaders, working in the community, and so much more to earn all of their belt loops and we are so proud!!

We also want to thank all the parents. We were so happy with the turnout and are truly blessed how many people are here to support our kids and we couldn't do it all without you.

If you have any pictures you want to share please put them in the comments.

WOW — thank you to our amazing community for all of your support today! ❤️🍗
Our Cub Scout BBQ Chicken Fundraiser was a huge success, and we couldn’t have done it without everyone who stopped by, shared our posts, spread the word, or purchased chicken.
Your support helps our scouts learn, grow, explore, and create memories that will last a lifetime. We are so grateful for this wonderful community and everyone who helped make today possible.
A special thank you to all of the volunteers, families, and supporters who worked hard behind the scenes and out at the grills today.
From all of us — THANK YOU! 💙💛

Thank you everyone for coming out last night. It was great to learn bike safety on the new bike course at Constitution park.
