Lilly and Boujee Bear are like peas and carrots. They came to us together, and they’ve made it very clear that they need to stay together. 💕

Lilly is a sweet, white Miniature Poodle mix who's almost 9 years old and has spent her whole life being someone's constant companion. She's gentle and calm and the kind of dog who just wants to be near you. She'll press into your hand when you reach down to pet her like she's been waiting for that moment all day. Maybe she has. 🤍

Then there's Boujee Bear. Six whole pounds of Havanese/Chihuahua mix with a name she has absolutely earned. She's tiny, she's sweet, and she is ride or die for her best friend Lilly. Where Lilly goes, Boujee Bear goes. It's been that way and it's staying that way. 🤎

These two find comfort in each other in a way that's really something to see. They've been through a lot, and they've done it side by side. Now they're ready for something good, and they deserve it more than words can say.

✂️ A heads up for their future family: both girls have beautiful coats that will need regular grooming to keep them looking and feeling their best. It's a small thing for two dogs who will give you so much back.

If you've got room in your home and heart for these bonded girls, we promise that they will give you double the love as well.

🐾 Meet Nike | 6-Year-Old Indoor/Outdoor Cat Available for Adoption 🐾

Who could stand to be cooped up on such a lovely day? Nike here thinks today would be the perfect afternoon to stretch his legs and take his first steps out of the shelter… The only problem is, he needs someone to help break him out of his kennel!😉

It's taken Nike some time to warm up to the shelter cat, and while he's still the type to spend most of his day hiding under his bed, we know that this sweet boy just needs a little more space and time to become the amazing feline companion we know he can be.

Nike has done very well interacting with our resident office cat, and we think he would benefit from having a feline friend around to help him build more confidence in a new enviornment.😻 He may be one of the shyer cats in our cattery, but that doesn't mean he's not looking for his second chance at a loving home.

🐾 She's our longest-term resident. Let's change that.

Meet Piper, our June Pet of the Month, and a dog who has had our hearts since May of 2023. She's been patient. She's been sweet. She's worn the birthday hats and the holiday outfits and she has done it all with the kind of quiet grace that makes everyone who meets her fall completely in love. Her foster called her "the absolute sweetest dog." Her former office coworkers (yes, she had a whole job here) said she was the best they ever had. She tucks herself into her crate at bedtime, delivers toys when she wants to play, and never once asks for more than you can give. She's housebroken, walks beautifully on a leash, and knows her basic commands. She comes ready.

She just needs someone willing to take it slow and let her settle in. Once she does, she is everything.

Piper is 5 years old and looking for a home where she can be the one and only pet, with humans who are at least 16 years old. If that sounds like your house, keep reading, because we are making sure she has every chance to succeed. Whoever adopts Piper goes home with 5 training credits with our partners at Paws & Play, your choice of in-home lessons OR a 7-day stay and train, PLUS a complimentary slip lead. She traveled a very long way to find her home, and she is NOT messing around. 🐾

Chiquis was abandoned hundreds of miles away, and when we found out, we didn't hesitate. We arranged transport and brought her all the way back home. She's a 7-year-old German Shepherd with those wise, watchful eyes that don't miss a thing, and she has shown us every single day just how resilient and sweet she really is. Shepherds are loyal to their core, and Chiquis is no exception. She notices everything, feels everything, and when she finally finds her person, she will love them with everything she's got.

She loves soft blankets and cozy spots, she's lived with other dogs before, and she also passed her daycare assessment. She was a little shy at first, but she found her footing and we have a feeling she's just getting started. Chiquis would do best in a home without cats, but if you have a dog at home, bring them along for a meet and greet! 🐕

She just needs someone to see her and say "yes, you. I choose you." Could that be you? Come meet her. ❤️

💕🐾 Meet Wrigley | 2-Year-Old Cat for Adoption 🐾💕

Wrigley's the kind of cat you can instantly fall in love with. From her strikingly beautiful looks to her playful personality, this little feline is the purrfect package for anyone looking for a lively companion to spend their days with.

Her heart has room for three things in life-- people, playtime, and food.😻 The girl loves her treats almost as much as she loves spending some quality time with her favorite humans. She's even enjoyed playing with the resident pets in her previous home, though she has a rough-and-tumble play style that not every cat would enjoy.

At this point in her life, Wrigley would likely do best in a calmer, low-traffic home where she can take her time getting to know her new environment. She's litter box trained, spayed, and ready to start the next chapter of her life with someone who can promise her a life full of love and happiness. 🏡💕

Huge thank you to King Lou for sending us such a generous supply of treats for our shelter dogs. They were an instant hit for the shelter-- even the cats can agree! 😻
