Who Saves the Superheroes? 🦸‍♂️

We dressed Bear up as Superman and Tyson as Batman for their photo shoot, and they turned out to be the silliest crime-fighting team in town! These two keep our whole team laughing. They’re happiest rolling around the play yard together, and then they come galloping over to collect pets from every single person in sight. 💛

Bear and Tyson are both about 1½ years old, with Bear at 72 pounds and Tyson at 64. Bear is our Man of Steel and the class clown of the pair. He’s always up for a plush toy or a game of ball (he’s pretty proud of his sit, too). Tyson, our Batman, is a little more mysterious and can be shy with new things, but the minute Bear is by his side, he forgets all about it and the face kisses start flying!

These best buds are a package deal and will be going home together. They lived with dogs before, so if you have a pup at home, bring them along for a meet and greet and our team will help with the introduction. We haven’t seen how they do with cats yet, so if there’s a kitty in your home, let us know and we’ll test them with cats before they head home with you.

These two came to us from another shelter that ran out of room, and our staff fell for them right away. Now all they need is someone to swoop in and make them part of the family for good. Come be their hero at 10501 Hague Rd. in Fishers, 12 - 5 pm (closed Wednesdays). Capes optional! 🐾

Oakley and Oliver Dean have been through plenty of ups and downs in life, but through their golden years, they're hoping for the chance to lean on more than just each other...

Imagine never knowing the comfort of a loving home, or worse losing that home and never knowing if you will get a second chance... 🐾💔

That is the reality for some of our senior cats right now, and at 10, 11, or even 13 years old, these senior sweethearts aren't asking for much... just the chance to feel truly loved, for however long you can offer.

They're not asking forever, and neither are we. We're just hoping to find some amazing souls who can ensure that our seniors won't have to spend a single moment of their golden years inside a kennel.

We provide everything. Food, supplies, vet care, all of it. There is 💚ZERO COST💚 to you. All we ask is that you're within about a 30 minute drive of the shelter, since some of our fosters come back for checkups and to meet potential adopters.

Fostering does so much more for our animals than simply giving them a break. This is our chance to get to know these cats in a home enviornment, and hopefully what you learn on your fostering journey will help us get our senior felines into the forever homes they deserve.

Some fosters even find that their experience is the test drive they needed to turn foster into forever. 🐾💕

Well Hello, Ladies 😎

Buddy Man would like a word with you! When this 5-year-old smooth operator got out for a break, he collected head scratches from every woman on staff. He didn’t even have to work for it. He just showed up looking handsome and the love came to him.

Under all that charm is a sweet boy who really needs a break. Buddy Man came back to us in March after almost 2 years in his home, and shelter life has been hard on his tender heart. He has been waiting 7 months for someone to pick him, and every week here feels long for a guy who just wants his own couch and his own people.

He’s 65 pounds and will park himself right on your feet so you can’t possibly miss a neck rub opportunity. He knows sit, down, and leave it, and he would happily trade his entire stuffed toy collection for a good game with a tennis ball. He has been crushing his treadmill runs here too, so if you’ve been wanting a jogging partner, he is already warmed up! He even sat like a perfect gentleman through his whole spa day, blow dry included.

Buddy Man is hoping to be your one and only pet in a chill, adults-only home, and he’d adore someone who’s around a lot (work-from-home folks, he would make the most loyal coworker you’ve ever had). He shines with gentle, treat-based training and a routine he can get used to.

Gambit has waited nearly 15 years for the promise of forever... 💔

It's been over a year since Gambit found herself back in our shelter. After nearly 7 years in a loving home, her world turned upside down, and right now it's starting to feel like life will never go back to normal for this sweet senior girl.

Her foster mom still can't believe such a loving soul hasn't found a forever home, and while a break from the shelter has done wonders for Gambit's mental health, a foster home isn't forever.

And now, she's back in the shelter, waiting for someone to finally see the amazing she truly is.

This gentle girl is a social cat who still enjoys playtime, brushing, and cozy cuddles in her golden age. She’s full of life and has so much love left to give. ㅤ She's been through a lot in her life, including having all four of her paws declawed, but it hasn't stopped her from staying the beautiful, gentle, affectionate cat we know her to be.

She's an expert feline companion with years of experience living alongside other pets and children in the home as a loyal cuddlebug. All she's asking in return is a quiet home, a soft bed, and someone who’ll brush her, love her, and never let her go. Due to her declawed paws, we recommend providing her with a litterbox with short sides and fine-grain litter to limit any discomfort she may feel.

Archie Has Been Waiting Since January 💙

Archie came to us as a stray back in January, and he’s been hoping for his person ever since. Nine months is a long time for anyone, but for a big, goofy 1-year-old Lab mix who just wants to be with people, shelter life is really starting to wear on him. The noise and the long days in a kennel are hard on his heart, and we can see it. He needs out, and he needs it soon.

Through all of it, this boy hasn’t lost one ounce of his sweetness. When someone new steps into the yard, Archie doesn’t hang back for a second. He trots right over, wiggling from nose to tail, asking for attention with his whole silly self. He’s 61 pounds and fully convinced he’s a lapdog, so get ready for a big, happy hello! 🐶

He surprised all of us during a playdate with one of his shelter dog friends. You’d expect a young Lab to bulldoze right in, but Archie plays so gently it’s almost dainty. If you have a dog at home, bring them along when you visit and our team will help with the introduction to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone. Cats aren’t really his thing, so he’s hoping for a feline-free home. With all his size and bounce, he’ll be happiest in a household where everyone is 16 and up.

Archie still has plenty of puppy energy, and he’s looking for a person who thinks training is a fun way to spend time together. He already knows sit and has been such a good student. Now all he needs is to be chosen. Come meet Archie and let this sweet boy show you how much love he’s been saving up. 🐾

Prince is feeling a little lost today, but he hasn't lost hope that his soul mate will come to rescue him soon. 🐾💕

This sweet boy has never known life outside of a home until now, and the shelter has been a lonely place for such a friendly 4-year-old cat for adoption. He's tried his hardest to show off his best features, leaning his soft, fuzzy ears into every pet and greeting every guest who stops by his kennel with a gentle purr...

But lately, Prince has been struggling to greet our staff and volunteers with his usual enthusiasm. 💔

Today, you might find Prince tucked in the corner of his room, hiding away from the sight of yet another person walking right past him. Prince isn't asking for much, just a soft place to rest and a human who will love him forever. In exchange, you'll see just how sweet and affectionate he can be.

Prince has never lived with other pets before, so we can't be certain how he would do with other animals in the home, but he has enjoyed living with young teens in the past. All he needs is one chance to prove that he belongs with you.
