Please join us in welcoming Bryan Buckley to our Board of Directors! Why I serve: "I serve on the Marine Raider Foundation board because I have seen firsthand the impact the Foundation makes, not only for the individual Raider, but for the families who stand behind them. I was once asked to bring a Hero Raider home from Afghanistan, and through the support of the Marine Raider Foundation, we were able to provide the care and assistance that family needed during an incredibly difficult time. That experience reinforced for me the importance of the Foundation’s mission and deepened my commitment to serving those who continue to serve us."

Sgt. Clyde A. Thomason received the Medal of Honor posthumously "For conspicuous heroism & intrepidity above & beyond the call of duty during the Marine Raider Expedition against the Japanese-held island of Makin on 17-18 August 1942."
