It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Captain Garrett Pearson, U.S. Marine Corps. Captain Pearson died October 3, 2026 while participating in Marine Raider training at Naval Air Station Key West. Our thoughts are with Captain Pearson’s family, friends, and fellow Marines.

“Captain Pearson was one of us — a Marine who had willingly taken on the immense challenge of earning the title of Marine Raider. His dedication, professionalism, and determination were evident to all who trained and served alongside him. His passing leaves a void that is deeply felt across our formation.”
— Maj. Gen. Michael A. Brooks, Commander, Marine Forces Special Operations Command

Thank you for joining us at the NorCal Marine Raider event. Because of your generosity, we raised more than $70,000 to support Marine Raiders, Gold Star families, and their loved ones!

Our Board President and event host, Michael Manoukian, shared his thanks:

"I'm incredibly proud of what this community accomplished together. Raising over $70,000 in a single day is a powerful statement of support for our Raiders and their families. To everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, or spread the word: thank you, thank you, thank you! You've shown our Raider families that they are never alone."

"Gold Star mothers and families know the immeasurable cost of fighting for the ideals we believe in, and they know the pride that comes with exemplary service to America. On this day, and every day, we offer them our deep gratitude and respect, and we are inspired by their strength and determination. Through heartbreaking loss, our Gold Star families continue to support one another, serve their communities, and bring comfort to the men and women of our Armed Forces and their families." - President Barak Obama Photo: MSgt Ralph Stevens
