To the Brethren of Hamilton Lodge No. 533 and all neighboring Lodges:
It is with a heavy heart that we prepare to bid farewell to our Brother, Zane Harvey. As Masons, moments such as these remind us that our obligations extend far beyond the walls of the Lodge room. They extend into every season of a Brother’s life—and especially to the end of his earthly journey.
The Masonic Funeral Service is one of the most solemn and meaningful ceremonies we perform. It is our final act of Brotherly Love, our last opportunity to stand beside a Brother who once stood beside us. Through this ritual, we honor his life, his character, his dedication to the Craft, and the sacred bond that united us as Brothers.
Just as importantly, our presence offers comfort and support to his family. While words may fade, the sight of Brothers gathered in unity speaks volumes. It tells them that their loved one was part of something enduring, something honorable, and something that does not forget its own.
Our teachings remind us that it is our duty to aid, support, and comfort one another. Attending a Brother’s funeral is not merely an option; it is one of the clearest demonstrations of the principles we profess. The apron may be laid aside, but our obligations are not.
I encourage every Brother who is able to attend and participate in honoring Brother Zane. Let us fill the church with the strength of our Fraternity, stand shoulder to shoulder in remembrance, and show his family the respect, dignity, and affection that our departed Brother has earned.
May we prove ourselves worthy of the lessons we have received, and may our actions reflect the Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth that define our Order.
Fraternally,
Anthony Kishindo
