Peyton's Promise, Inc.

Peyton's Promise, Inc. To provide tangible support to families faced with adversity This mold is an exact replica of his hand which we can no longer hold.

Peyton's Promise, Inc is a non-profit organization started by us (Eric and Molly Belling) in April of 2015 to honor our son, Peyton Daniel Belling, who passed away due to complications from Leukemia at the age of 3. The organization is dedicated to helping families that are faced with adversity, whether it is the loss of a child or any other challenging situation in their lives. Our promise to Pey

ton is that we will provide assistance to these families in ways that touch the soul, create hope and facilitate learning, prevention and healing. Our goal is to utilize donated proceeds for meaningful purposes that provide comfort and support to families, and allow donors to see a real, tangible impact they have on someone else’s life. Our first event this year (May, 2015) has personal meaning to us as we know firsthand its significance and importance. All proceeds raised this year will go to fund the purchasing of Memory Boxes at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Before Peyton passed away, Riley created a mold of his hand, which was presented to us in a hospital blanket. As a parent it is hard to imagine that you will never be able to hold your child’s hand again so receiving this mold was just as important to us as all of the medical care our son received from Riley. In the past, Riley provided a beautiful Memory Box with these molds, but the boxes were donation-based and that funding is no longer available. For parents who lose children at Riley, these memory boxes not only provide a way to safely transport the mold, but also provide a beautiful way to preserve and display something that can never be replaced. As recipients of one of these molds and understanding how meaningful it is to us, we want to use the donated funds from the 2015 Golf Outing to re-establish this Memory Box program at Riley and ensure future families facing a loss receive one of these beautiful boxes to take their cherished possession home.

Hi all! It's been a long time since we have posted anything since we are not having a golf outing this year. We hope you are all doing well!

Though we aren't having our annual outing, we still need donations. We have a few expenses to keep our foundation up and running (e.g., website fees, taxes, products, etc.) and more importantly, we want to continue to support Riley Grief Services (RGS), formerly Hope in Healing, and families faced with adversity. We have met with RGS several times since our last outing and they have talked about a lot of wonderful things they are doing that our donations could support.

Please help us out by clicking any of the Donation buttons on our website (www.peytonspromiseinc.org). All donations are welcome and very much appreciated!

Also, we are beginning to think about next year and hoping to host #11. Will you join us?!

Looking to make an end of the year donation? Please consider Peyton's Promise. We will be doing more online fundraising in 2026 since we won't be having a golf outing. Donations will be given to Riley Hospital for a variety of purposes (clothes for families, Riley Grief Services, etc.) and potentially to other families faced with adversity, as these needs become known.
Since we can no longer collect donations via Facebook, please use any of the Donate buttons on our website. Thanks, and here's to a great 2026 for everyone!

10TH ANNUAL GOLF OUTING RESULTS

I apologize for the delayed update regarding our 10th annual golf outing. We are pleased to announce that we raised a total of $42,000 for Riley Grief Services! We are proud to have been able to incrementally increase our donations year after year, and this year was no different.

Thank you to all who have participated in our golf outings - golfers, donors, sponsors, volunteers, strategic planners, etc. - and helped us fulfill our vision of making a meaningful impact in the lives of others in Peyton's name.

Riley Grief Services (RGS) recently shared with Eric and me some of the many ways that our donations have allowed them to grow. We knew it was impactful, but didn't realize the extent of it. From a bigger space and additional staff that allow for therapy for more bereaved families to additional and various types of materials used for therapy (e.g., musical instruments, art supplies, even a therapy dog!, etc.) to grief retreats, and much more - RGS has truly become a gold standard of grief support nationally, and even internationally. The individuals who work there are fully dedicated to their mission and understand the unique needs of individuals grieving the loss of a child. The incredibly low attrition rate at RGS speaks for itself! I just don't have the words to express how wonderful they are, and how much people who have experienced the loss of a child benefit from their help.

As we have stated a few times over the past few months, we will not be hosting a golf outing next year. These golf outings and our foundation have always been about Peyton, and we have always fought hard to balance the time we spend and attention we give to each of our 4 children. The golf outing takes months to plan (in addition to our 2 full-time jobs and the busy lives of our hard-working volunteers) and requires more time than we can give it at this stage in our lives without neglecting our living children. Our mission remains, but how we achieve it - and continue to honor Peyton as we feel best for our family and the foundation - will look a little different going forward.

RGS and Riley Children's Foundation have been very supportive of this decision, and we look forward to continuing to partner with them to find less intensive ways to raise money for RGS. We have been honored and humbled to hear from many you who would like the golf outings to continue. Thank you so much for all of your support and for understanding our need to take a step back after a decade of golf outings. I look forward to sharing more info on how we will move forward when we have an update!
