The Canyon Lake High School Construction Trades program gives students hands-on experience building real projects, learning industry skills, and working with professionals in the field.

I have two students looking for part time jobs next school year as part of our work co op program, goes to school part of the day and can work part of the day...one student really enjoys carpentry and would like to focus in that area. He will be a senior, has transportation, fluent in English or Spanish. Second student, would like to be an apprentice with an electrician...also, going to be a senior. If you have any leads or would be interested in working with our construction students to help them learn a trade, please let me know. Today our students are working with epoxy for the first time! Epoxy is a two-part resin that, when mixed, creates a strong, glossy, and durable finish—perfect for creative projects like these river coasters. Students are learning how to measure, mix, and pour safely while designing their own unique pieces.

These river coasters are turning out awesome and will make great Mother’s Day gifts. Don’t they look great?!

Fantastic time today with Infinity Concrete. The students got to see first hand a large commercial project in New Braunfels, from grading and site prep, surveying, concrete and slab work, metal fabrication, plumbing, electrical, and finish out. Seeing the opportunities in the trades first hand and so close to home was awesome. Thanks to Infinity and Greater NB Home Builders Association!
