We are losing our ocean sanctuaries and deep sea treasure trove of biodiversity.
⁣
Industrial fishing is emptying our oceans of fish and destabilising ecosystems that have survived for thousands of years.

This simply cannot go on.⁣

This month we want to highlight our Executive Director, Carlyn Sampson!

Carlyn has served as our Executive Director since 2020, but her journey with us began as a Victim Advocate on our 24/7 helpline in 2013. For 13 years, we have had her on our team to offer support and advocacy to survivors and their loved ones in a variety of Advocacy roles. Today, she continues that advocacy with a variety of survivor advocates, partners, and stakeholders locally and statewide to meet Rebuilding Hope's mission to provide support, promote healing and partner to end sexual violence.

Carlyn is a thoughtful and dedicated leader who values every member of the Rebuilding Hope team, from volunteers to directors. She approaches decisions with care, considering both the needs of the organization, staff, and the community we serve, while keeping an eye on our long-term impact and sustainability. Her leadership guided us through the transition to our new Hilltop location, and she continues to champion the vision of transforming and improving our space to be a true Healing Headquarters for victim-survivors and our community.

Thank you Carlyn for leading us in this incredible work!

We’re proud to be able to highlight our amazing staff. Stay tuned for our next Staff Spotlight!
