Finlayson Fire & Rescue

As part of Community Impact Month, our Finlayson Branch created a lobby display highlighting local firefighter equipment and the cost of outfitting those who volunteer to keep their community safe.

Thank you to everyone who helped raise $161 for Finlayson Fire & Rescue—and to our local firefighters and rescue volunteers for all you do!

Started our 4th of July celebration with serving pancakes and sausages then after the parade we had fire truck races with the kids which turned into setting up our water wall for the kids to play in. Thank you everyone that helped us make it all happen.

Had a little time after our monthly meeting to squeeze in some training on firefighter down. Always thinking of new ways to be prepared for anything that comes our way and it doesn’t matter the color of your helmet, what classes you have taken or the logo on our back. We are all here to be the best we can be and to be ready for anything that comes our way. Our chief volunteered to be our “dummy” and get fully geared up and act unconscious while the rest of the members learned how to strip a fully geared fireman down in case of an emergency.
