For all those heading up the TC-AAC North Shore Gathering this weekend. Lake State Mountaineering will be in attendance with a pop-up shop for all your climbing and camping needs. Forgot bug spray? Need an extra carabiner? Need some chalk? Steve will be there and will have you covered along with some special weekend deals on gear for those who attend the event.

North Shore Gathering AAC Group Site Details are HERE!
We have a 50-person max group site available for folks to camp at on Friday 9/5 and Saturday 9/6 nights FREE through the AAC for this year’s North Shore Gathering!
To get there, head to the Finland Campground and take a right towards the group site once you turn into the campground off the main road. Look for Steve at the Lake State Mountaineering booth to check in! He’ll be there roughly before 10 am and after 4 pm on both Friday and Saturday for you to secure a spot at the group site.
Spots are first come first serve!

2025 AAC-TC North Shore Gathering will be Sept 4-7! 🤩
We are excited to offer spots for up to 50 people per night Friday and Saturday nights on the group site at the Finland Campground.
This year will be a little more low key. While we don’t have clinics, classes, or community ropes this year, we’re still excited to hang out and climb next to you!

This Weekend marks the Annual Sandstone Ice Climbing Festival presented by partners Minnesota Climbing Association, American Alpine Club Twin Cities, and Midwest Mountain Guides. A Number of vendors will be on Hand to provide you with glimpses at new gear, New Technology in Ice Climbing, as well as chances to demo out some sweet gear. Scarpa and La Sportiva will have demo boots during the festival and Anyone who demos out, boots, crampons, and /or tools on Sunday, will receive a special coupon for Lake State, But I can tell you what it is yet............
Even Lake State Mountaineering will be on hand with a Pop-up shop and deals all festival long on Ice tools, boots, crampons, accessories, you name it as well as winter apparel and outwear at 30-60% off MSRP from name brands such as Mountain Hardwear and La Sportiva.
