If you have kids or grandkids who are interested in the shooting sports, this is a fantastic opportunity to introduce them to firearm safety and responsible shooting in a fun, supervised environment.

Check out this Women-Only Pistol Shoot hosted by the Hancock County Conservation League!

Whether you're a seasoned shooter or have never picked up a pistol before, this event offers a welcoming environment to learn, practice, and connect with others who share an interest in the shooting sports.

🎣 Looking to get into fishing or introduce someone new to the outdoors? This is a great opportunity! 🐟

The Ohio Division of Wildlife is hosting a FREE beginner fishing class:

Exploring Fishing: Learn the Basics
📅 June 17, 2026
⏰ 5 PM – 7 PM
📍 Lake La Su An Wildlife Area — Montpelier, OH

This hands-on class will cover: ✅ Casting
✅ Knot tying
✅ Fishing equipment
✅ Shore fishing techniques

Plus participants will target some of Lake La Su An’s famous jumbo bluegill! 🔥🐟

All equipment is provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own gear. Registration is required and spots are limited.

Anyone over 15 actively fishing must have a valid fishing license. Anyone under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Ohio Division of Wildlife is hosting a FREE class:

Exploring Frog Gigging: Learn the Basics
📅 June 12, 2026
⏰ 7 PM – Midnight
📍 Andreoff Wildlife Area — Forest, OH

Staff will cover regulations, equipment, techniques, frog processing, and more. Participants will also get a chance to try frog gigging in the ponds and wetlands after dark.

Preregistration is required and space is limited. A valid fishing license is required for anyone 16 and older participating in the field portion.
